three time in three weeks....

Hello Again..

Well..today I took Daisy to the school.. and we met a HUGE that looked just like her.. but probably a Newfoundland dog... Same black and white pattern..and three times the fluffy fur coat.
This was still a puppy.. that was three times the size of Daisy.. with feet to match.. I'm sure this eleven month old puppy was 200 pounds at least.
They call her Little Bear.. .because of her size, I'm sure. Daisy is a small to meduim sized, almost 9 year old dog, that weighs 38 pounds... or sometimes up to 45 pounds..

I took her on quite a big walk today.. and I should have known...
Because every time I do...

what??? you say???

Tonight, I accidentally openned the door with out putting Daisy's leash on first.
I gasped when I realised it..
and apparently that means "Go like greased Lightning!!" to Daisy.

She was gone like a shot.. .down the road to the main road... Fortunately there is less traffic at this time of night..and then like all polite dogs, she waited for the light to change, and raced across the street towards the park...I guess she had turned around when she realised she didnt know where the heck she was going..
A nice person in a car stopped and openned the car door...
That is also Daisy's cue.. Open door means Hop In.. so she jumped in and covered the person in licks and kisses...

Fortunately Daisy wears a small pink valentine heart with her name and our on it.. Thank God.. .because it has been her ticket to get home again over .. and over.. and over.. and over ... ...
From the time she burst out the door , til when she was returned.. was under 5 minutes...I am so grateful to live here with kind neighbors and kind people that live in this neighborhood...

That was an episode that started at 10 pm...
Is she just not loyal.. or part greyhound.. Do I not feed her enough Tim bits from Tim Hortons... What???...

Sigh...

Gentle hugs to you
from me

Once upon a time, long long ago, we used to have a dog. Several times, he wound pretend to sleep and bolt the second the door was open. It was always a game of "catch me if you can"!!! Unfortunately it was the animal shelter and not the neighbors to do the catching!

I'm happy to hear Daisy is safe and sound. Maybe a couple more tim-bits!

This pup I got for Christmas is 13 weeks old today, he is just starting to feel like he is cock of the walk. I try to keep him out of the pasture until I am sure the donkey are use to him. I have the donkeys to keep the coyotes away from the calves and lambs. When we are out in the hay fields and pasture that is not being used this pup has a ball running jumping and playing. I guess they just need to stretch their legs ever so often.
