From hell's heart I stab at me I'm a pretty even tempered guy (robot some would say) I rarely loose my "cool" if it can so be called (it can't) . But when I do I go absolutely berserk . Like today , when I got home and my basement was flooded . Which in and of itself didn't make me flip my lid , but the reason it flooded is because I forgot to move the god damn drainage hoses back into place when I mowed my lawn this weekend . Just like the last GOD DAMN TIME my basement flooded . I am my own worse enemy . I wonder if there's anyone for whom that's not the case . Anyway , as long as I'm<b> whining </font></b>pitifully , when I bought this house I had two absolute deal breakers when it came to house shopping . I wanted a house WITH a garage and WITHOUT a basement . So of course I bought a house with a basement and no garage . Sometimes I wonder who's in charge here . Stupid brain . I suppose I shouldn't have a blog that's just my crying about my own stupid decisions , so here's something . I saw Star Trek this weekend . This lady is in it .  She's very pretty and she can kind of act but I actually met her in really real life once and she was not a nice person at all I thought . Plus I think she's British . I did not like the first movie in this reboot at all , the dude who plays kirk is especially annoying to me , but I like this one a lot . Two thumbs up . Probably because I love Wrath of Khan and this is kind of that , although more "Space Seed" from the original TV series . Point is it was pretty killer , but then I wasn't expecting anything going in . That seems to be the key a lot of times , low expectations . Keep that in mind ladies . Also one of my friends pointed out that this new Kirk is probably supposed to seem like an idiot . The "real" Kirk didn't become Captain until he had been in Starfleet for 14 years , and he was the youngest Captain ever . And he started like 50 wars . This new Kirk as in Starfleet for like 2 weeks when he was made Captain so he's probably going to destroy the universe . But which universe ? Even though I was never into Star Trek that much I went to a convention in my younger days . I got to third base with a lady in the worst Orion slave girl costume ever so that was okay . Other than that it was pretty lame . But most things are . The dude who played Q was the special guest . Everyone who talks about Star Trek seems to like Q . Those were my least favorite episodes . But he seemed alright in person . He didn't linger while I was fingering a lady in terrible Orion slave girl custom - which is a classy move . He just took and peek and then discretely walked around the corner . Putting first by putting employees first, immediately after prioritizing fiscal responsibilities and leveraging profitability towards exceeding by empowering our employees to put (and themselves) first, in a diverse and respectful environment of only those that come first, first. |

I've been a Trekkie forever, although I have never been to Riverside. Wrath of Khan was a gift to the Trekkies, the first movie wasn't nearly as good. I'm not really into bald chicks. If they're going to shave they could shave elsewhere. I'm not really into that either, but it's better than them shaving their head. You gotta love Dr McCoy's advanced medical treatment for Checkov. After it crawls out of his ear just hold a rag against his ear. My basement flooded too. Once the ground is saturated if we get a hard fast rain it comes in along the seam between the floor and wall. I used to vacuum it up with a shop vac. I have noticed that my basement is normally dry enough that if I don't vacuum it up it will dry on it's own in a couple of days. If we have a tornado you can hide in a corner while standing in water. Then you can hope the power goes out before your house collapses around you. I was more into TOS, not so much with NG or the others. Crosswords increase your vocabulary. Cross words increase your blood pressure.

Oh fuck - you just made me realize that *I* forgot to replace the rain gutter extension after I mowed the lawn last weekend. Grrrrrr. One loses these habits over the course of a long winter.
