The virgins are all trimming their wicks

What does that mean ? No one seems to know .

I've always maintained that I would not be interested in sexing up a virgin , but I never really thought it through before . If in the unlikely event that I were to meet a virgin around my age who met all the normal criteria I suppose I'd think about it . As much as I wouldn't want to be anyone's first time I suppose my hang up was always that I was thinking of virgins as young ladies . Were I to meet a 40 year old virgin who wasn't insane and so forth I might go for it . I mean if I have sex with a woman she's going to be disappointed regardless right ? Zing !

In other news one of the developer guys and I were talking about Age of Ultron today and a nearby lady sneered and derided the movie as being "unrealistic" whereupon I remarked "isn't your favorite movie Mary Poppins ?" She agreed that it was but that it was a great movie anyway because it wasn't meant to be realistic . "Neither is Age of Ultron" I mentioned . Long story short (too late) she wouldn't budge , Age of Ultron is dumb because its not realistic but Mary Poppins doesn't need to be realistic . I've never actually seen Mary Poppins to be honest but from what I have seen it seems like some kind of psychedelic drug trip . I mean parts of it are cartoons right ?

Are any movies terrible realistic ? I doubt it . I recall someone saying they loved the first Taken movie because the fight scenes were so "realistic" . I've seen a few fights in my life (unfortunately) and none of them looked liked that . Most "fights" are generally someone getting the shit kicked out of the in my experience . When you're talking about movies or other media I think realism is kind of an odd concept - to some degree the whole idea is based on suspension of disbelief to at least some degree so any sense of realism is a figment of an illusion of a mirage . Even the people involved stretch credulity - actors being all handsome and witty and whatnot while most of us as slobbing around slobbily all the live long day .

Which is not a criticism by any means - who would want to watch a realistic movie ? No one , that's who .

Now for the bad news , you're not really a person (me either) . Not as we tend to think about personage anyway . The Institute for Advanced Personage points out that (as we all know) you are to a greater or lessor degree , a product of your heredity - you don't get to determine (mostly) if you are physically imposing or weak , smart or stupid , calm or anxious , energetic or lazy , fugly or sexy . And what your dumb genes left undecided , your upbringing mostly took care of - how you were raised determined what values , attitudes , and religious beliefs are available do you . You're not a Jain , in part , because you've never fucking heard of Jainism . And then your environment got in on the action - what culture you were raised in , where you went to school , who you were friends with (which you didn't even really choose except in a small capacity) . If you had been born and raised in South Africa , you would be different If Greenland had won World War II , you would be a different .

So no matter what choices you make , you're still choosing within a framework - you can choose to like poetry or internet porn only because you were raised in a world in which other people had already invented both poetry and computers . That means every single little part of your life - every action , every choice , every thought , every emotion , every plan for the future , everything that you are and do and can potentially be is the result of things other people did in the past .

These mostly dead people shaped every little molecule of you and the world you inhabit . You are the product of what they did , just as they were the product of those who came before them . You are , therefore , not a person any more than a leaf is a tree . It makes far more sense to think of yourself as one part of a whole than as an individual - you benefit from the whole's successes and you pay for its mistakes as if they were your own . And there's no opt-out option . Is that redundant ? Opt means option right ?

What does this mean ? Nothing really . But perhaps you shouldn't think of your life as a story . You should think of it as one sentence in a much longer story , a sentence that doesn't make any sense out of context . But , understand the context , and you will understand your life .

And finally , did you know that sweet tea is disgusting ? I did .

Hmmmm. Couldn't it be that leaf is to tree as person is to mankind?

I can assure that 40 year old virgins exist. You could, conceivably, achieve your 'goal'

You waxed profound .... I'm profoundly impressed.

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

I dig how you followed up that extremely deep contemplation with a picture of naked girls on bicycles.

Second row , towards the middle right - one woman does NOT look happy at all . What's her story ?
