Due to shifting conditions in the marketplace I'm afraid we're going to have to let you go Please see Carol in HR for your last check . Was Hansen a boyband ? It doesn't seem like they were . Yet they were a band and they were boys . So what makes a band a boyband ? Also does not the term band indicate the playing of instruments , so aren't most boy bands actually<b> singing </font></b>groups and not bands at all ? Regardless of what they are I think it's a fine choice to use as your wrestling name  One wrestling trope that always seemed silly is when the bad guy gets the belt and knocks out the good guy , or the subverted trope when the bad guy tries to do that and the good guy belts him instead - which is okay because doing bad things to bad people is good . It's just a belt I thought , why would that knock your block off ? But it turns out not to be so silly - those things as heavy as balls ! Iowa has a lot of things going for it , but spawning a lot of sweet celebrities is not one of them . Ashton Kutcher ? Boo . Brandon Routh ? Boo . Adam Devine ? Mixed bag at best . I mean sure , we got Elijah Wood but that dude has been skating on Frodo-goodwill for years . Hopefully this Dirk Gently thing will take off . This is what I used to think . Turns out Iowa has a lot more going for it on the celebrity front than I thought , because Iowa is the home of the Cherry Sisters . Who are the Cherry Sisters you ask ? Only the worst vaudeville act ever . Now that is something of which a state can be proud . You see their parents died and their brother bailed so what did they do ? They did what anyone would do - they said let's go on the road with Something Good , Something Sad , a show featuring songs , dances , skits , morality plays and essays authored and performed by the sister themselves . Did this material have strong patriotic and religious themes including one scene where one of the sisters was suspended from a cross in an imitation of the crucifixion ? You better believe it ! Did they let overwhelmingly negative responses from the audiences to which it played stop them ? Did they let the fact that spectators routinely laughed , heckled , catcalled , booed and threw vegetables at the them throughout the entire performance stop them ? Did they even think about stopping after several instances where audience violence reached dangerous proportions ? No , no they did not . They did this for TEN years . How you ask ? People were willing to pay their hard earned money to see "Four Freaks from Iowa" . The New York Times said of the act "more pitiable than amusing ...the effects of poverty, ignorance, and isolation are much the same all over the world, and the Cherry sisters exhibited every one of them with a pathetic frankness that left no question as to their status or their character." Yeah , poor people suck ! Go New York City ! And check this out , they sued a couple Iowa newspapers for liable after said newspapers said they were the worst and the case turned out to be a landmark one wherein the rights of media criticism were established . Thanks Cherry Sisters ! In a similar vein I was thinking the other day . Colt "Boom-Boom" Cabana and Marty DeRosa do a deal called 5 Dollar Wrestling which is purely a Mystery Science Theater rip-off where they do commentary over shitty wrestling . I need to get a porn version of this going ASAP . I am going to be so rich ! And finally , the other night gaming was cancelled because all the married with people cancelled at the last minute and I says to Gin Rickey "wouldn't it be rad if we were gay so when gaming got cancelled we could just bang ? Because sex isn't as good as D&D but it's better than nothing right ?" And now all of a sudden he's "afraid to be alone with me" . I said IF buddy ! What a fucking cocktease .  Putting first by putting employees first, immediately after prioritizing fiscal responsibilities and leveraging profitability towards exceeding by empowering our employees to put (and themselves) first, in a diverse and respectful environment of only those that come first, first. |

There's something particularly sad about deluded performers. I remember hearing a podcast about this woman who thought she was a great opera singer and insisted on doing public concerts even though she was tone deaf and screechy. MST3K style porn on the other hand, I think definitely has a future. Coincidentally, at the holiday concert I went to last week, Joel Hodgson did a little cameo...he was just supposed to be introducing one of the musical acts but instead he insisted on singing the MST3K theme song. And it was even worse than the version that is on the series.

There may be a lot of shifting conditions in the market place for the next few years.  Some critics are very loose with their tongues to bad they didn't trip over them more often. Vive La Difference
