Two truths and a million lies I woke up in the wee hours of the night and I was restless so I went and stood in the kitchen and looked out the window . Because there might be a naked lady out there you know ? There wasn't of course (that already happened to me once in my life and I think each man only gets one) but there was a young deer , I'll say adolescent hanging out by a large bush doing deer stuff . Pretty typical , I was just about to go back to bad when I saw a coyote come into the scene . It wasn't being aggressive or furtive or anything , it was being kind of doglike and friendly - and the deer bought into it . I wonder if it's because it was a dumb or just because the coyote approached it in such a manner . Hard to say because I feel like a deer would run away from a friendly dog , they're pretty skittish . So the coyote and the deer romp around like best friends for a couple seconds and then the coyote gives the secret coyote<b> wink </font></b>to her buddies (I'm told that in urban environments the females lead the way) and two other coyotes run in . The deer was startled at first but then it was like "ah , more friends right buddy ?" That's when the biting began . For half a second it looked like the deer was going to panic and freak out (and probably die) but it got it's shit together and raised WAY up on it's back legs and brought down a double hoof stomp on the lead coyote's noggin . The coyotes ran off and the deer minced on down to eat the neighbors garden . There's any number of lessons that can be taken from this incident . I think the main one for me is that you should be open to new experiences but if you feel things going sidewise don't hesitate to stomp on someone's head to get loose . Also I've realized that my new blog format is that I come in first with something that people may be interested in and then I finish up with something no one could ever care about . Here's the second part . When I got up this morning I logged on a gaming forum site and there was a post wherein a person was saying "I will no longer buy products from company X because of these incidents of sexual harassment and their responses to them" the gist of it being some of their female employees were harassed by dudes at a gaming convention and the company wanted them to keep their mouths shut because said dudes were important figures in the industry - it's all about money you know ? Anyway , this was posted last night and there's already 150 PAGES of responses - you can always trust gamers to chime in with their opinions . What's interesting to me is that the thread of the conversation is the exact same as people in the normal world . I guess gamers are just a nerdy sub-set of the exact same kinds of people out there running around not playing games . Putting first by putting employees first, immediately after prioritizing fiscal responsibilities and leveraging profitability towards exceeding by empowering our employees to put (and themselves) first, in a diverse and respectful environment of only those that come first, first. |

One comment I found particularly perplexing was someone saying that they would have respected the poster a lot more if they had brought this up on Monday . I can't fathom why that would be . As a guess, did the harassment incident take place last weekend and it took a week for the poster to decide to boycott? btw - I like your random and misleading titles. I would've told you on the pertinent post except I refuse to comment on any post in which a certain heathen comments. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!
