On a promise

I enjoy reading erotica on the Literotica website. It takes some searching but I have discovered some very good authors there. I have also found a lot of crap, which is why the time for searching.

My most recent positive discovery is an<b> author </font></b>going by "Touch type." The bio information lists him as male with no other details. He has written a series titled "Entertaining at Large" which I highly recommend. It is written from the point of view of a female protagonist. I think he does an extraordinary job of taking on that perspective. As you might guess given the venue and my interest, there is a lot of sex in it. But it has a real style to it.

The title of my post, on a promise, is a phrase that came up in several of the short stories in the series. The context it was used in make it clear there was a sexual context but I had never heard the turn of phrase before. I looked it up and found in the Oxford Living Dictionary, Confidently assured of something, especially of having sexual intercourse. As in, "My husband thought he was on a promise on his first date with me."

I found the expression delightful. I can't wait to be "on a promise." soon.
