 Punctuation and grammar are good things to use if you want to be precise. In any case, gooder is not in a good category as it is not a comparative or superlative. But there is a slang term of gooder in regards to a do gooder. I am not the grammar or spelling police for I would be too busy correcting the FriendFinder-x glitches for sure. Classynails referred to this in her comment.
