A poem I wrote 4/15/1980 when I found that my PCAT score was too low for Pharmacy school admission

Hi all,

I was cleaning out some files and came across this poem I wrote on April 15, 1980. I just received my PCAT score from the Pharmacy College Admission Board and realized that my score was too low for me to get in Purdue's Pharmacy program. Funny the things that we hang on to...

Take care,

How deep is my agony
How intense is my pain
My world crumbled before me
But who was I to blame

Sadness came over me
So fast I know not what to do
When I realized my answer,
I feared my life was through

I wanted to live, express my feelings
But my fate seemed darker than the blackest sea
Could life go on despite my sorrow
Or would all give out from under me

Only time will tell if I am doomed
To a life of misery
For now I except all that may pass
For my tomorrow may never be
