Nina Perlman - Amber Dorff - and probably a lot of other female artists Quite often money scams are recruiting victims on this website. I just wanted to share with you a nice series of mails I exchanged with one of them. Notice they are not very smart and not very insisting. Start reading at the bottom (as in most mails made up of a series of replies) For obvious reasons I have deleted the E-mail adresses. And as I usually say : when it sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn't. From the first mail you sent me I knew it was all going to be for money in the end. I immediately recognized the mail since it was exactly the same as when you were mailing me as Nina Perlman. So I had to go through the same first 4 to 5 mails before I could finally see what happens after the first call for money. I must say I"m a bit disapointed ... so little effort you do to try to convince me ... must be that there are really loads of idiots who fall in your trap. So once again I have won ... the score of 2-0 for me. What will your next try be ? The only good thing you do is that it makes us go the websites of these artists, so helping them a little bit to be known better. On the other hand, shame on you to abuse of their identity. Not that I suspect shame is a state of mind you are capable of. You wouldn't be doing this lousy job if you could feel ashamed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Since this last mail herunderI haven't received a new answer, so I decided to send the mail above. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: me To: Amber Dorff Hi Amber, You seem to like to be put in trouble, leaving without bank card. So you just travelled the old fashioned way with cash money in your wallet. Now, i don't really like your view on things, it almost looks like you don't want to explore any other possibilty to get the money than Western Union. I'm pretty sure that if you are willing to do some effort there are numerous ways for you to be helped out. You could for instance get in contact with the Canadian Ambassy or Consulate where they will be very happy to help you. We could even arrange for transferring the money to one of their PayPal accounts. Or you could ask for somebdy you know to receive the money and transfer it then to you. All this just a few mouseclicks away now since I got the confirmation from the Bank of America that my PayPal account has been topped up. And no, I still don't trust you enough to send you money just like that. All we did was exchanging a few E-mails, we actually never have seen each other and met in person. I asked for copies of the shipping & exporting documents. Unless you export it with a drug courrier (and then there would also be no export duty) you must have documents from your shipping agency. I don't trust Western Union, too much fraud going on there and too dificult for me to go to one of their offices. I did such thing last year, and the 3 addresses I checked out all were no longer a Western Union office - even if i got the addresses from the Website of Western Union. And no other office close to where I was. They also have quite impressive charges for transfering money and I'd rather spend my money on something different than the Western Union commission. So, as soon as you have created your PayPal account you can receive the money from my account and then transfer it to your bak account so taht you can withdraw it with your credit card. Now, I will not send you any money if I can't see the documents from the customs office. As you say, the documents are at teh customs office, so please go see them and ask them to send a scan to my E-mail. I can't imagine they would have problems to do so since this will actually help them to cash money for the treasure. Can I please see these documents by tomorrow ? The money I transferred to my PayPal account hasn't arrived yet, but I expect that tomorrow I will receive their confirmation E-mail that I topped up my account with 900 EURO. I had hopes you would have checked your mail before end of business day. To move ahead I already transferred the necessary amount of money to my PayPal account. It should be available next week Monday or Tuesday I think. Try to relax a bit and don't think too much of your small exporting issue ... it's not worth it and I'm pretty sure we will be able to get you out of that very soon. By the way, you should check on the customs documents if your export agent marked it as CAP or non-CAP. I remember a similar issue I once had and switching it to non-CAP just made an end to my troubles. But i must admit it was an export from Belgium. And by Western Union ? I don't really like that. I will be perfectly happy to help you out, but how can I be sure this is not a fraud ? After all, we have exchanged half a dozen of E-mails and that's about it. It's not that the amount you ask is a heartbreaking sum, but a friend of mine has had a very negative experience sending money to someone by Western Union. If you want me to help you I need some more certainty that this is not a fraud, so I need to be absolutely sure about this artwork you want to send to the USA. Since your customer wants this artwork, and if I remember correctly already paid something in advance, I need you to ask your customer to send me a confirmation of this transaction. That's one. I can't imagine they are not willing to do so. Secondly, and this should also be no problem, I would like to receive a copy of the documents of HM customs showing the artwork is ready to be exported but that this last tax needs to be paid. I'm willing to send the money on behalf of you to the customs to settle that. Just have the documents scanned and sent to my E-mail as a pdf-file. Preferably the mail must come from HM customs service. Or if you prefer, I can also send the money to your bank account so that it will be possible for you to pay or withdraw the money with your credit card. Another option would be to use PayPal, since it's a bit faster than bank transfers. I even beleive HM customs have a PayPal account to accept money due to the rise of Internet commerce. They often put some piece of art or have their receptions decorated by artists. If you ask me, very often they did not pick the right artist to do it ... but who am I to reject their choice ? The briefing may very well have been to communicate the outrageous technological advance the company has on competition - something that is hard to express in art - and at the same time show they are the youngest company in their sector rivaling the youngest and sexiest profiles on whatever social network there may be and at the same time also completely differentiated from any other company in the sector (yet, they still do sell an absolutely basic standard product to their customers). And all this of course for a low budget and tight delivery schedule anyway. You look very young on your pictures ... are these perhaps pics of a few years ago ? I did that once with a Russian girl, I proposed to meet her at St. Peterburg - indeed because I claimed to have some business there. She continued to write as if I had not said I would meet her there, and once I insisted she stopped mailing. I even proposed her a well-paid job in Europe, but of course, that was not her game. You did good to post these scams! I'm still afraid there are too many desperate men here who'd be so glad to "help out"... I also noticed lots of men keep the testimonials of fake yahoo girls on their profile, that's really pathetic...

I'm sorry you spent so much time corresponding with such a loser. The moment she said "I'm not a bad person"--well, ok way before that (asking for money) is a clear sign she IS a bad person. I had this happend to me once when I was trying to rent out a room in my home for college students. I put the ad on craigslist and got a response from a kid who wanted to get my bank account numbers so her rich Daddy in Moracco could 'send' me the security deposit and the rent. Not happening. Besides that she said she was going for her Masters Degree and our college doesn't offer a Masters. Needless to say that was the end of our correspondence! Summer
