My career swtich

I guess I’m going to leave more here than my poetry. This will be my first posting that wasn’t something poetic that I had written. I am changing careers and am excited and scared at the same time and I’m jumping in with two feet baby. I am quitting my job in the financial field to go into massage therapy. It’s a 10 month course at the National Holistic Institute. After, I want to study Acupuncture. I want to help people. In my current situation I am stuck in a dead end job at a company that I will be surprised if it lasts another two years being run as it is. I need a change and I think I can help a lot of people. I have already begun studying nutrition and stretching. I want to become well rounded. I don’t just want someone to feel better after they leave me for a few weeks. I want to teach them life altering methods and techniques that they can do that will make their living of life better. They will be able to move around more easily. Lose weight. Eat healthier. Play with their and not feel run down. Feel better about themselves and only by being taught simple, common, easy and healthier ways of changing how they eat and how to exercise. You don't even need a gym fee or the equipment. Throw in a massage or some acupuncture and, bada-boom bada-bing, I hope to one day own my own spa and health center. Somewhere in the Bay Area of course. I have my and family that I would never leave. This area is beautiful and I love going to Lake Tahoe. Now, I’m not going to lie. I will use my sex appeal and know my looks will definitely not hurt me from getting a job at a reputable spa or hotel and hopefully I’ll be making solid money. Plus, I really like the people here. Speaking of people here, part of the reason of this rant is to possibly find future clientele, but also to find people to currently practice on and I prefer someone set something up in advance. You know what they say about the squeaky wheel getting the grease. I have a laundry list of people in line for a massage, but who else to pillage from but the sexy database of my “local” friends, at least the Bay Area, CA. Word of mouth is going to be my best method of building a clientele, but also having actually done a massage or acupuncture for that person and if I do it well and relieve their pain and help them, then they will want it done more frequently and hopefully tell their friends and then they tell their friends and they tell they’re friends and you get the picture right? I am very confident that I am going to do very well at all this and would be proud to show and help anyone. Before I know it I can stop working at a spa or for someone else and have the freedom to work for myself. I hope it will be a very profitable switch for me, yes indeed, but I’m also very energized now that I have decided to go for it and that has been good for me.
