Classics...
The Maltese Falcon, Great Gatsby, Tom Sawyer, War and Peace, Atlas Shrugged(my fave) Men are From Mars....What classics did you choose for your summer reading enjoyment?

There is a difference between a good BJ and a bad BJ.

I'm diving in head first, without checking to see how much water is in the pool, or, if there's any water at all. I bought "Don Quixote" (that alone could take all summer and then some), "Selected Stories of O. Henry" and "The Essential Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe" I'm starting with Poe, quite the dark fellow, I think I can relate, if I can absorb it, and it has the advantage of being short stories and poems, so, if I want to switch things up a little, I can tackle some O. Henry.

If nothing else, I should get a reasonable education in literature....

And I've read "Men are From Mars..." and I highly recommend it.....

Don Quixote is very dense but in some ways quite magical. o henry is charming. and Poe...well Poe is aboslutely necessary although not classic.

now you can see i'm a snob........snork

my absolute if you havene;t read youmust - on the contemporary front are stegner, gaines, and at least one hoffman , one amis (the younger), rushdie so you can say you did and how you ofund him less than thrilling snork.........

god how i love reading

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

Just out of curiosity, how could Poe not be classic?
