Yup, Kaa. Apparently played by Terry-Thomas, if people are right about it being the same voice as Sir Hiss. I only remember seeing The Jungle Book two or three times, and I never watched the credits. There were some cool songs though. Kaa singing "Trust in me...just in me..." was great. And I LOVED the vultures / buzzards (not sure which they have in India). I kind of miss the way the old Disney movies started by opening a book. Sleeping Beauty's was gold and decorated with precious stones, Jungle Book and Robin Hood were plainer. They stopped doing that with the Disney Renaissance, around the time of The Little Mermaid, which I found sad - I liked the bedtime-story-like feeling. Ahh, you all have better memories than me. Since reading your comments I looked it up on the tube, and as you say, it was Kaa. But his voice in the Disney flim was done by a guy called Jim Cummings, who also voiced Winnie the Pooh for Disney according to my source. Terry Thomas did voice Mr Hiss in Robin Hood.
