I think maybe I might like to have sex with a Spanish woman. I keep remembering images which are making me associate Spanishness with horniness generally. First there was that Spanish singer on X Factor - I have temporarily forgotten her name, but she was gorgeously sexy. And of course there is always Shakira Shakira. (I know she isn't exactly Spanish, but she speaks it.) Then I was watching Salma Hyek in "Fools Rush In" (I know she isn't Spanish either, but she was playing the part of a Spanish speaking Mexican-American,) and oh wow she was soooooo sexy. Especially her voice. Or maybe that was the partly American accent. I do get a bit twitchy over American women's voices. Maybe I would like to have sex with an American woman. I have actually, come to think about it, and I did like it.

But of course British women can be sexy too. Except the ones who are not. (Or the ones whose hands smell like they have been wiping their arses with them! ) English girls who are not sexy really aren't very sexy at all. But sometimes they are very sexy, and they too often have great voices. (It seems I am all about voices again today. As well as Spanishness. )

There is a new song out called "Shut Down" and there's a part in the middle where a very English sounding girl complains about being intimidated, and I was quite attracted to her voice. I've only heard it once, so I don't know if I really liked her or not.

Maybe I want to have sex with an English Woman too. Or Scottish. Or Welsh. That's a lovely accent. I can just imagine a nice Welsh girl saying "lovely accent" in a lovely Welsh accent.

It must be nearly spring.

It must be getting close to Spring...isn't that when a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love?

Skirts swaying in the breeze...

A hint of thigh...

Oh, sorry...you were talking about voices. I wonder if you'd think I have an accent! It would be nice to think my voice does to someone what a man with an accent does to me.

Now there's nothing quite like the Irish brogue you know....I have grown quite fond of the Irish accent!!!

Unfortunately the fact that Spring is springing is turning my thoughts to those of Spring cleaning....now when Summer comes...that will be a different matter all together!!!

Pretty sure I would think you have an accent Kay, lol.

I have a long history of getting myself into trouble, starting new relationships, falling in love, lusting after random women I happen to see passing by etc etc at this time of year. I mean, I do those things at other times of year too, but.......

I'd give it a go! I haven't had too much direct experience of the southern accent, my past transatlantic encounters have been either New York, Mid West or Californian. But I like what I hear of the south on TV.......Maybe there is a chance.

I can't completely agree with you on the Irish accent I'm afraid - occasionally I find Irish girls attractive, and there are some accents I like better than others, but generally speaking that is one of the few that doesn't do it for me.

hmm... i don't have an accent. but i do like a bunch of accents... English, Scottish, Irish. I even like Australian and New Zealand accents... although it took me forever to understand the difference between them.

there's also accents i don't like - French. Indian. Ethiopian. of course, they're perfectly fine speaking in their own languages... just hate how they sound when they speak in English.

and i can fall for a voice any day... lol

Some of the accents on Home and Away and some movies make me cringe, they are terrible.

Ha ha ha! V - how can you say you don't have an accent???!!! Everyone has an accent!!! To me you would have an American accent, plus whatever else makes your voice uniquely your own. Even to an American from another region, say someone from the deep south, you would sound like you have an accent......

This is not the first time I have heard an American say "I don't have an accent." Have I misunderstood? Surely you don't actually think that?!! On that basis, I don't have an accent - in that I hear myself speak in the same sort of voice I hear from others from the same background as me, but I am pretty sure you would say I have an English accent!

Ah yes, me too, there's nothing worse on screen than an actor trying to adopt and accent who can't quite get it right.

Hmmmm. Good point. Robin in "How I Met Your Mother" - I quite liked her I suppose. But I'm not sure it was her accent............I would have to hear more maybe.

lol of course you have an English Accent! me and those who sound exactly like me, don't have an accent, and anyone who doesn't sound like me has an accent... lol I suppose that's how it works when you want to say you don't have an accent.

so, you're right, from your pov, you don't have an accent and neither do others who sound just like you, and everyone else does... lol

my first trip to the US, meeting the eX's friends (who are still really awesome people!)... I surprised every one of them, because they expected me to have some kind of Indian or Ethiopian or a weird Ethio-Indian accent, but it turned out I didn't! lol and I was surprised that some of them had some really odd accents! lol

That's good - I thought you would know what I meant. Everything looks different from different points of view doesn't it.
