Half the Words are Missing

Half the Words are missing from my last post. Well, not half, but enough that some of it barely makes sense. I think I have seen a few other people complaining about the same problem.

I was wondering if it was something to do with Christmas, because last year I posted a few Christmas messages and once it was up rogue occurrences of the letter "m" popped up throughout the . I edited it, but they came back! How does that even happen? I can see how sometimes punctuation or an unrecognised font can lead to errors, but how can whole words just vanish in the middle of a sentence?

Anyway I'm not going to bother replacing the missing words this time. Some of it reads quite nicely in a cryptically oblique kind of way. Unless you were the person the message was form in which case what might sound like an in joke to everyone else will just seem like a load of nonsense! So if anyone wonders they can ask me what the hell I meant. Otherwise, time to move on, write another post I think. And hope it doesn't happen again.

But I wonder what I should be writing about???

This has been going on for a long time now....Site Support say the site are dealing with it....I'm not holding my breath...that would be a very silly thing to do where this place is concerned!!!

Had it happen to me a few times. After correcting it once or twice I gave up.

Happy New Year. x

Everyone says to post the body of the message in your first comment. I did it in my last blog post. It seems the site doesnt mess with comments as it does with the original post. ~~

Yes as others say it has been happening for some time now, post as normal and put a copy as your first comment and most will see the proper text and we all watch to see what words get missing first.. I have edited many times and it just removes them again... a true site issue..and they supposedly KNOW about IT

Ditto to what’s been said already, except to add that the grammar freak that I am couldn’t really deal with it. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that it’s part of the reason I stopped blogging. I don’t know what kind of a bug it could be...truly the site must have invented it. What random e-bug does this?

Yes - I saw lustasaurus mention that she was tired of correcting posts only to have words disappear again....
Happy New Year to you too. The words "her sister" were missing from my Christmas message to you by the way. You probably worked that out.

Ah yes, that's a good idea. If necessary I will do that, thanks.

Ha ha! Just shows how little I have been here lately. Okay, I will go with that idea and thanks for your help.

I know! It has been driving me nuts already worrying that you might think I couldn't be bothered to proof my post. Please believe me Kay, it's not me, it's the site!!!!! I would never disrespect you by writing bad English!

Yeah, knew you meant my sister. Still can't get her to come back to the site. Maybe me telling her how hopeless it's become might have had something to do with it.

Well believe it or not McDream, it looks like the disappearing words glitch may now be resolved......maybe not mind! It has been a total ball ache all the same.

Hope you're well big fella!

missing words, missing thoughts, missing people... It seems it's all a huge game.
I am glad to see you pop in as well, sweetness. I hope you are well.

It used to happen years ago. Drove me crazy. I started writing all my blogs in Notes on my phone first.

Yeah I remember - and the phenomenon of the suddenly disappearing post too, usually a long one. I got into the habit of doing them all in a word document and then cutting and pasting just in case, but it seemed that problem had been cured. Oh well, I know the glitches drive you mad, but I try to take it as all part of the site's charm!
