Hesitates: "I am so sorry - you caught me staring at you."

Smiles: "It's okay."

Hesitates: "Thank you, but all the same, I apologise, realise I could have been making you feel uncomfortable."

Smiles: "Would you like to watch me drink a cup of coffee?"

Hesitates: "Can we do that?"

Smiles: "I don't see why not - you can look at me without it being uncomfortable, and I can talk to you and find out more about how your mind works."

I wasn't thinking very hard about this when I wrote the title, but perhaps the word dangerous fell into my mind because when I find myself involved in a dialogue which someone think is perfect like this, I often feel myself losing a little control of myself, which in the past has proved dangerous for me!

All the same, I am glad you think it is perfect!

I didn't know what flash fiction was, so I had to look it up. (I find myself doing that for quite a few of your comments, lol.)

Yes, I suppose this is flash fiction - it tells a story in very few words and leaving something to the imagination of the reader. I don't think I would want to read a book of it, but fun for the odd blog post.

Actually I think this may have been inspired by an old blog friend of mine who very rarely visits any more, but occasionally used to post oblique dialogue only posts. They always seemed to cleverly carry a story on their own without explanations.

Presumably they would both be drinking, but yes, agreed, slurping is not attractive.
