I spent a lot of yesterday with doctors. I had a yearly physical and check up in the morning. then I had to go up town(the big city of superior) for the eye doctor. I finally get a new pair of glasses. my others are two years old and very scratched up. I got a new look too with the frames. I got tired of the ones I had. they just did not look right on me. made me look like an old man. my new glasses are nice, sharp looking. I don't have them yet. it takes about a week to get them.

well we are slowly loosing most of our snow. it has been staying in the mid to upper 30's here and is supposed to remain for about another week. if it weren't raining I would have been out fishing again. I went out Friday and it rained all day long. I got pretty soaked but at least I stayed warm. didn't catch much though, the barometer I way too low. fish don't bite much when it is that low for that long. it makes them quite lethargic.
ready for another packer game at a small local resort bar. its such fun there.

we are slowly loosing our snow. we didn't have that much to begin with. we only have about a foot or so on the ground. now the warmth is here and they are talking rain.
up here the businesses are really dependent upon the snow for the snowmobilers. without them the businesses go under. for many places, half their yearly income is the snowmobiles coming up to hit the trails, and bars, and restaurants.
we need snow not rain.

I went snowmobiling yesterday. a warm up is coming and the snow might melt so I took advantage of the awesome trail conditions.
hope everyone getting hit with the ice storm is fairing well. it is just 40 miles south of me.

I have a job to look at this morning and then I am off to do some snowmobiling before the snow melts too bad.
I hope for the businesses up here that we do not melt too much. I think it is frozen enough underneath that it will not melt too much.
I am off tomorrow to do some fishing on lake superior again. this time I will get the fish on the ice. I missed three really nice fish last week. I lost them trying to get them through the hole.

it is so nice to have a warm up coming. it is above zero again. I had to be outside working in that freezing cold and I now need a break from it.
had a big group here this weekend and they were able to get out and do their experiments and they also got to have some fun outside.
I hope to get out this week snowmobiling. the trails looked pretty good from what I can tell driving by them. I haven't been out yet except here on the property.
