warm snowy day

well we had a warm day yesterday so I took advantage of it and went fishing out on lake superior all day long. of course with the warm weather came the snow, lots of it. and then the wind at the end of the day. but it was a good day out fishing. caught three really nice fish.
now we might have enough snow for snowmobilers to start coming in droves this weekend. I want to get out too. I haven't yet except here on my 7 or 8 miles of trails on the property.

I finally get to go fishing out on the bay on lake superior tomorrow. it has been long awaited. we are going for perch tomorrow. hoping to find a few nice schools of them.

having free time

it is so nice having some free time finally since the beginning of September. I have a couple groups coming to camp, one today for one night and then a staff retreat over the weekend. but I do not need to do too much for them. I need to get out and get all the ice we had over the weekend cleared off. and then get the buildings heated up.
it will be fun with the staff this weekend. last year for new years we dressed up in tuxes and evening gowns and 9 of us went to a local resort bar. it was incredible. we really made their night.
I am going to do nothing all next week. I am going to finally get out ice fishing. I got a bunch of stuff to try out this year. I am excited. there were 10 people that had to be rescued Monday from the chequamegon bay on lake superior. the wind was incredibly strong and the ice broke up and started to float them out to the open water. I think I am going out there Monday to see if I can catch some big browns.
oh to relax and enjoy is sooooo good.

well after a spell of intense cold we finally get a warmer spell. i need it too. i have to finish one metal roof and i have one more to put on this week. i am going out today to shovel off the roofs so i can work on them this week. i will finish one tomorrow and then i hope i can get the other done in two days time. i just hope the wind cooperates and does not blow too bad. i know it is today but that is okay, it will help evaporate any ice on the roofs i hope.
well i think my new computer is actually coming today. fedex is such a bad shipping company. i got an email saying thursday i need to be home to sign for my delivery...didn't come, tracking said it was still in china. i get another email saying it will be there friday...same thing for saturday. so i call them yesterday and it is finally in the US and i will get it today.
i am excited. no more freezing or taking two minutes to load a page, no more videos that stop every twenty or thirty seconds...yeah

it is so cold out there for december, or any time for that matter. it is double digits below zero...and a wind chill factor to almost thirty below. i think i am going to stay inside today and paint christmas cards all day long.
well i ordered something i have wanted for many many years. i will soon have a fox tail plug to wear around. that will be so awesome. i will have to model it for you when i receive it. i think it will be so hot. i think it will look good inside me, i have gotten myself back into shape. i am back to a 30 waist again. my butt is back so i do not need to wear a belt any more. so i think my new tail will look good sticking out of my tail end.
two days till new computer. it is scheduled for delivery thursday. no more loosing posts in the middle of typing. no more stopped videos as i watch. yeah!!!

snow has been falling for 6 straight days now non stop. i put the Christmas tree up last night. i got a lot of my Christmas shopping done already.
but....
i still am not even close to ready for winter. i still have one metal roof to finish and another one coming up before Christmas. i have to rebuild the plow pump on the plow truck. i have 8 picnic tables to move and get leaned up so the snow isn't pilled up on them. i still have a bit of firewood to get in yet. i was out all day yesterday trying to get a bunch. there is a lot of snow already in the woods.
off to do some more Christmas shopping in a couple really small towns up here that have some unique little shops.
i got myself a new laptop for Christmas but it will not be here until after Christmas. i ordered it from HP. it will not be built until after the 20th. oh well. it will be so nice to have a "real" computer again. this desktop is so old and slow and only getting worse. i bought a tablet a couple years ago from best buy, and insignia. it was okay for a while but it did not have the computing power to do what i need it to do. and then right after...like one and a half weeks...the warrantee was up, it messed up and i had to do a reset on it and lost too much stuff and it still will not do some stuff it did before. ugggh.
so i got a laptop that flips so i can use it as a tablet. i spent some money to get a decent one and a three year warrantee.

well i start a metal roof today. it is a hard one with almost every piece needing cut at an angle. i am hoping i can get it done this weekend. there is a big storm coming and they are talking 18 inches of snow. it is supposed to hit early next week. the rush is on...i hate the rush...at least this kind of rush.
i would much rather have the rush of an intense sexual encounter with an incredible woman.

well, one metal roof done. and easy $1300 for 7 hours work. i like those kind of days.
well i am off for the holiday. only travelling three hours so not too bad. we got fresh snow last night and it made things slippery. with this being the great wisconsin week long holiday(deer season) there is not much snow plowing or sanding of the roads. now there is more snow but with ice from before underneath. that will make things interesting.
happy thanksgiving all...yes even to you in canada
