Pic 1 - WaterSports - Extremist - Not for Squeemish - 2007-06 Jun 09 Extremist activities. What are they? On one hand, they are anything that a person feels is extreme and certainly they are subjective to each individual. However, certain activities or levels of activities are generally more extreme and called "Edge Play" or "Extreme Play". All activities have levels or degrees of play, and so, anything can be become extreme or be extreme for a given individual. This series addresses a bit of both. (see more at bottom of the posting) ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- Introduction to this Series: There are a lot of activities in BDSM (Bondage/Discipline, Domination/Submission, Sadism/Masochism). The list on alt is quite inclusive. Their "Alt Fetish Checklist" includes most activities that guys might typically engage in play, and then some. Considering that any activity can be taken to it's limits, the boundary or edge of any individual, and cross over to something beyond the boundary of a sub, this series will address some of these activities. There are activities which are classified with their own category and called "Edge Play" or "Extreme Play". These move further and further beyond the traditional safety, control and bounds of an individual, and often move beyond BDSM. This series begins to touch upon those, within the bounds and ability of control by a Master. A question might be, "How does one get to this level?" The answer is individual, but generalizations do abound. ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- Trends: There is a tendency of late for Doms and subs (Dominants and submissives) to narrow their interests, to concentrate on specific areas of BDSM. It seems to be a syndrome of our culture today. Interest seems to be first gained from widely available information, broader knowledge and understanding, with more available and easily available sources. Online access to information is a big part of that. As a result more and more subs of all ages, who might not have tried anything alternative, are having their primal desires fed with a greater list of activities, while individually and specifically centering on certain things. Essentially, they're learning on their own, and not learning the broader spectrum of BDSM, but rather, a tailored experience. For example: I've often heard a guy say, he was introduced to anal play from an old girlfriend, that he loves his ass being used and stretched. This happened over time, while his gf got him more and more interested in it, with toys, household objects, fingers and hands, strap-on dildos and sometimes cocks. Eventually the guys move into more 'extreme levels' of what started as basic anal play, and that being fisting and/or, showing on webcam as he impales himself on very large objects. Nearly all of these boys consider themselves str8 (in spite of those skeptical and unbelieving observers). Labels of Vanilla or Extreme, Straight or Gay: This isn't a judgment about str8, bi or gay. Keep in mind, there is a difference between, love, romantic sex, sexual interests, sexual play, and alternative sexual play. You can imagine yourself in different situations like that. Society often tries to label a person based on an interest. I might like smelling roses, but that does not make me a horticulturalist. Therefore, a guy might like objects up his ass to reach orgasm but, that does not make him gay. There is a huge area along the scale of str8 to gay and equally along the scale of vanilla to extreme. I subscribe to the idea that nobody is 100% either way. Society often dictates a fear or a phobia toward a label, and then tries to pin that label on as many people as possible. I recommend keeping an open mind. ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- Watersports, WS, WaterSports, GoldenShowers, Yellow, PISS: Watersports is more popular than you might think. WS can be done with oneself. It's more and more common for young guys to want to be pissed on, consume it, forced or freely. Other people think it's so extreme they cannot imagine anyone doing it. This is a good example of individual perspective, in addition to it's many possible levels of play. Many guys include WS as one of their limits (haven't done but curious), but it's not common for a guy to include it as a boundary (won't do or consider). Like several alternative interests, outside of masturbation, WS can be self performed, aka solo WaterSports, to get some idea of what it's like. Best to do it in the bath, so there's no cleanup. In fact many play with piss in the bathtub. As boys grow older they often like to watch each other piss. It's a common prank or humiliation for a friend to aim his stream toward his best buddy and vice versa - piss play for certain. WS can go from the mild of being pissed on the hands, torso, areas lower than the head and neck. Simply pissing on the belly or chest, legs, or even in one's pants and underwear is a good beginning for oneself or together with a partner. In partners, the whole back area can be used. So, the next level might mean including the head and face. That's a leap for many guys. This can also lead to open mouth without consumption. You certainly get the taste, this way. The next level is consumption/drinking of piss. Again this can be done solo or with someone. Is it dangerous. More than likely, in most pairings of two people, in most settings, consuming piss can be safer than kissing and swapping saliva. Is this debatable, YES! Piss is consumed in many cultures as a medicinal cure all - and used in some cultures as a cancer treatment through a urine enema. Back to WS play. The last level can include more situations for being forced in WS by a Dom or Master. What's the attraction? Certainly the warmth of it. The fact that it's a bit taboo is probably more the reason. The idea that it's humiliating, and possibly that it seems like risk or extreme in some ways of thinking. The point of it in BDSM is like many activities, control, trust, focus of ones thoughts toward priorities, bonding, and last but not least, the fun of it. In many ways it's an expression. It expresses the full service, full submission, full release of control of a sub/slave to it's Dom/Master. Of course, guys do it cuz they're guys. It's like asking why they like to get dirty and wet and injured in sports. ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- o ------- What is included as "Extremist activities"?
