TROLLS ARE SWEDISH!

... Well, that's not ENTIRELY true... Wouldn't want my Norwegian friend Balti raggin' on me again, so I better stick to the truth, and nothing but the truth... They are part of Nordic Folklore, NOT Scandinavian, well they ARE part of Scandinavian tales, but Scandia is only Norway and Sweden if one should be a stickler about geography. They are also part of Danish, Icelandic and Finnish tales, trolls that is. ((For clarification purposes, us Nordics happens to be: Swedes, Norwegians, Danes (Greenlanders too since Greenland belongs to Denmark), Finns, Icelanders and The Sami. Finland can also be counted as a Baltic country, and Sweden too for that matter. Within Northern Norway, Sweden, Finland and the Kola Peninsula in Russia, lays Sami Nation, but let's keep it simple here.... ))

Anyhow, back to Trolls... It's a very popular subject on these here blogs now-a-days, and YES I'm cashing in on it by having Troll in the title.... Wanna make something of it? It was Melisa's idea anyhow!

Trolls.... Yeah, in folklore they are mostly evil damned things, but they don't HAVE to be. There are such a thing as benign trolls, believe it or not! I can't speak for my other Nordic peeps, and their language (which is all pretty similar to Swedish except for Finnish and Sami, that is... It's waaaaaaay of on to another language tree all together, the Finno-Ugric to be specific), but a cute mischievous small is often called a troll or a trollunge... Trollunge is simply troll . It probably stems from the old tales where trolls switch their offspring with ours at night, sneaking in switching the two. Since we love our , well the troll becomes beautiful in our parental eyes.... Hence troll are cute!

I'm just rambling on here, as usual, but I had thought about putting some troll tales on this post, but it would end up being waaaaaaaaay to long.... Yes my dearest friend and readers, I DO know that most of you have an attention span of a 5 year old, so NO long posts for me, cause then you'll get to bored. Now, now I didn't say all of you, I said most!

I have found a lot of Nordic Troll Art on line, and I will make a post about it one of these days, but not tonight!

For now the key board diarrhea has dried up (what a lovely image), and I'm of to do something else... What I don't know, cause Jam's sleeping.... Bummer ey! Read a book, in the tub.... Yup that's what I'll do, with a nice glass of wine.... Wait, dammit I'm out of wine! OK, fine no wine, but my book goeth with me!
