Hahaha...a trip to the library was like a treasure-hunt to me, the one time the parents couldn't object to cost and would actually encourage my grabby hands. The used book store was also a wonderland to me, I can still clearly remember the covers, the shelves, the smells.

Kindle has its advantages but...definitely notice the digital generation just can't sit still and get in depth into things, or rather, ONE thing at a time.

A fellow book nerd, are ya? Gosh! And to think I just fell in blog-love with you only last night.

I do like the functions these tablet-readers offer. Night lighting, bookmarking, notations, etc.... oh especially the feature that saves yer page. Love that.

Hello Boris!

Another cool thing is that you can carry a lot of books in one tablet.

I too, like to hold the book. But I'll go ahead and open the jokes...

Oh, I'm reading you clearly alright. It's a book called Vavavoom!

I need to find a book for my upcoming trip. I have read everything on my nook, in the house and on my list. I need something light and funny and inspiring.
Any suggestions?

There is a difference between a good BJ and a bad BJ.

I can suggest some things I enjoyed. Light and funny I got. Inspiring, well I dunno about that. I reckon that's up to you.

For a very interesting biography try The Real Frank Zappa Book, by Frank Zappa. He wrote it before he died (duh), and it is constructed in a sort of non-linear way. You can pick it up in any chapter, without needing what has gone before.

If you like sci-fi, try Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny. I did not know about Hinduism before I read it, but I quickly got into it. Wow! What a neat idea for a story he came up with. It's kinda funny as well. Plus, it has the greatest pun I have ever seen in sci-fi. I might read it again, just for that pun! The protagonist is my kinda guy, too. I really related to him.

For non-fiction, I've got tons of stuff, but nothing light and funny.

I like mysteries, but they are not very light and funny either, are they?

Well, there's two books in all that comment. Yer on yer own...

No, I wouldn't give you a face. Your son has yet to learn that not everyone agrees with what it is important to know.

Hmm. Not sure I like that sentence structure, but I'm running with it.
