Back From The Southwest And a fine vacation it was... The Grand canyon was truely awesome. Hadn't been there in a number of years...I'm thinking 20+, and was amazed at the transformation around the place. The canyon is still the same...absolutely awesomely beautiful, but the "tourist" attractions have changed considerably. At least most of it is still free...but where you have to pay...OMG!! So stay away from those things and it is a very beautiful place.  As for Vegas...well, what can you say? It too has a very special beauty, but of course very very different. It was fun and quite open. I was standing on the Strip with my wife beside me and this "lady" comes up to me and hands me a card. She smiles and says she can arrange whatever we want. I look at the card and its an advert for sex! "We'll bring the girl to you. Give us 20 minutes"...I politely said no thanks, and she shrugs and walks away...WOW!! Talk about overt!! is legal in Nevada, and from what I can see not terribly regulated...wheweee...that puts quite a spin on my previous post about legalizing the oldest profession...ha ha. Vegas has its own charm...and if you look past the overt sexiness of it all you find a very cool and demure type of sexual excitement as well. Women, even visitors, dress very well. There is an aura of beauty and self confidnce in the air. It is a most pleasant place to be. We even won at the slots...up a whole $12 from what we started with...we went there with $100 each to blow and ended up coming back $212 to the good. Cool. Saw a couple of shows...Vegas shows are just awesome...expensive, but awesome. Once you're in the middle of the show you forget what it cost to get you in there...lol. My wife and I are both people watchers and half our fun was just being on the street watching the various types go by. Lots of men with much younger women and a few women with much younger men. I had to laugh at one overheard conversation between a twenty something guy and a fifty something woman... Woman: Well what do you think I brought you to Vegas for? Man: I don't know? Sex? Woman: We can have sex at home...no I brought you here to show you off...(she smiles very broadly) Man: Makes me feel like a piece of meat...(he is scowling and obviously not pleased...maybe not getting enough we think) Woman: (sighes heavily) Just be on my arm for a while longer and you can have all the sex you want, (shakes her head) Man: Well that's more like it!! (Broad smile) Just you? Or with another woman too? Woman: (looks a bit surprised, but laughs) Sure hon, I'll get you another playmate... Man: Right on!! They held hands at this point and she pulled him away down the street...My wife and I just howled...I asked her if she'd like me to arrange a young stud for her...she shook her head and said "Maybe another time," she smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek...we both chuckled and kept moving. Yes indeed...quite the place. Back home know and re-integrating with life (In other words...back to work...lol). |
