My Sister In Hospital

Yes my sister is in the hospital presently. She had her gallbladder removed because of a serious blood infection. She was in intensive care now she has been moved to the cute care floor. I know in the last year here had some other health issues. She had some surgeries for her eyes because of a detached retina and cataracts. Those were taken care but have limited site in one eye. She also had foot surgery and was re cooperating from that when she had a blood infection that attacked the gall bladder. Now she will have to see a cardiologist for a heart murmur. She is only 54 years old. So she has a trying time this year. I may have had some problems with my sister. But I guess she is still my sister no matter. I have visited her in the hospital so that makes me feel better in some ways. Hopefully in a couple of days she will be released from the hospital to recover at home. Feeling kind of shocked over this episode at this time. Just being feeling sad and concerned on this subject.

 Dear Roxy. Illness and death can strike anyone, and any living thing without warning. All of us past middle age have experienced friends and relatives, and sometimes our own bodies betray us and break down. i know of two or three people who have have had gall bladder surgery, and all have made it through the surgery and the recovery and are now doing fine. I wish the same for your poor sister. She's had her share of problems this year! xxxxdavid

Hello David, that is true you never know when you are going to get sick. One day you are here then one day your not. I went through gallbladder surgery myself know the pain and the recovery. Yes she had some problems. She is now better. Thanks for posting.

 Roxy, I am very sorry to hear that your sister is in the hospital. I wish her a speedy recovery, and that this is the end of her medical problems. I had my gallbladder removed, but nothing like your sister has had. I know she will make a complete recovery. Meanwhile, take care of yourself, and try not to stress out over things. Just be there to support her, and help her with the recovery. Take care of yourself.

 I hope the sadness will lessen soon.

I read about you Mom And Dad. I must say, with both my parents also gone, that ride from the funeral home to the cemetery sure is a stun to ones heart and frame of mind.

 With her experiencing all of these medical problems and with her being your sister, I am sure that you are a bit stressed over the possibility that your shared genetics could lead to you having some similar problems in the future. It doesn't always happen that way. She'll get better and you shouldn't be overly concerned about what lies ahead for you.
