Clearing the mailbox...

Clearing the mailbox... So I have up until the 23rd before my account expires from Gold back to standard again. So I decided to go through my mailbox and clear away all of the old messages I had. Over a 3 month period, I messaged over 500 women here. Some replied, most did not. So I had to go through and clear out all of the pending messages I sent to people so I could clear them out of my history. I'll admit, I tried to be polite and nice as possible in my messages to women and just be honest as to what I was looking for from them, but many didn't even reply back. Oh sure some of them would check out my profile, but they would never say anything back, even if to reply back and tell me they were not interested. I understand you women get bombarded with messages, I really do. But even to take 10 seconds out of your time to do an auto-message and say "I don't think we're compatible" would have been cool. I think there is nothing worse than leaving a person hanging. Either tell it to them straight, "Hey, thanks for messaging me, but I just don't think we're compatible. Good luck on your search." I actually got a couple of those from 2 or 3 women, and in those cases, I was really grateful that they at least took the time out to tell me NO in a polite manner. I'd even send them a nice message back to say thank you for replying back and letting me know, and I wished them good luck. Being polite back takes a few seconds out of your life, but at least you are being upfront and honest and saying no politely. I think that's what's truly missing in our society today...parents teaching their manners and civility. I made sure that I tried my best to teach my that, and the nice thing I've gotten is from my other friends and family members how nice my are when they say thank you. I think if more people were taught better manners and how to be civil in society, how to act in public, this world would be a better place overall. Of course, I still like to let a fart loose once in a while and be a crude bastard just to see the 's face as he giggles, and then my rolls her eyes at me because she thinks she can't go anywhere without dad embarrassing her. We can't all be polite all of the time. But I think its good to know when it is ok to be polite, and when it's ok to not be polite in today's society. Now if you will excuse me I feel a huge burp coming on.  Who can you call on to save the day? Why none other than... Agent  |

It takes the same amount of time to read and ignore as it does to say "no thanks". Rudeness is a learned behavior. Quite often it comes for early environment and so deemed acceptable until it happens back to them. Glad you will stay around at least to blog (Virtual Symposium Group) use Virtual Symposium Group

I'm not criticizing anything. When we first start online dating most men wonder why we don't get many replies. The sheer volume of messages women receive is one of the reasons. Following my advice may cause injury, insanity, financial loss, hemorrhoids, death and superpowers

500 messages in 90 days is over 5/day. Let's assume a 10:1 ratio of men to women. If all of them do the same , each woman will receive over 50 messages a day. I had the same rant / plea 10 years back when my wife and I opened our marriage and joined here. IM was a joke in waiting for no replies, mails would sit pending forever. Then I watched my wife on her account, and talked some. She was getting around 12 IM every 5 minutes. When she politely declined 2, she would get 5 more. Mails would sound nice, but from someone far away from her preference (one big one back then was no one 40 or older, and she would get tons of mails from 65, 72, etc. about one third of the time when she politely declined, they would start insulting her, calling her a slut, etc. (As if that would make her change her mind?!?). I realized that many felt it was better to ignore than to politely decline, and risk bad behavior in return, much less the sheer amount of time it was taking to politely decline. Once she found enough boy toys to keep her happy. She pretty much stopped even looking at new mail or IM. The site itself is not much better than these bad members. Sending mails from women to new male members to get them to upgrade to gold, thinking this woman was DTF, only to have her respond with, I never sent you any mail. Etc. There are two sides of this site. The guy side, a game of patience and perseverance, and the girl side, sorting through the morass of bad members to find the real gems here. I like your post and largely agree. The key thing to keep in mind is that this is largely an "uncivil" site in many ways on which duplicity, scamming and generally sophomoric behavior are the norms. It should be easier to find someone with whom you can be honest about what you seek and find satisfaction. Till then, or till a better site comes along (no pun intended) this (FriendFinder-x) is a poor facsimile of such a venue.

I have to admit, I find it weird but funny when I let a fart loose and smell it. Why am I attracted to my own farts and everyone else's fart is toxic? LOL! Who can you call on to save the day? Why none other than... Agent
