Wednesday Nothing like coming down with a crazy, weird head cold thing during the work day. Yesterday, Tuesday, about 9:45 a.m., (yes, I can pinpoint it because it came on that suddenly and brutally) my head got all stuffy and then my nose started running, I felt like instant crap!!! I dug through my purse and backpack and found some allergy like medicine and took that to try and ease the symptoms that were crashing down on me...I can't be getting sick because I've got the damned colonoscopy on Friday early morning. I can't be all sick and unable to breath and I certainly don't want to reschedule this deal, I want to get it over and done. So, I managed to get things calmed down for the rest of the morning, though the kleenex tissues that the office provides is like sand paper after the first couple of nose wipes. I headed home over my lunch hour, got a box of the soft kleenex tissues to take back to the office with me...I also found some DayQuil gel caps and popped a couple of those. What I really wanted was my little jar of Metholatum to rub on my very sore nose, but I couldn't remember where I stored that green little jar to save my life. The Dayquil gel caps helped and I was able to breath the rest of the afternoon, but I did not feel very good. I took some more Dayquil when I got home from work, then headed to CVS pharmacy to get more head cold<b> supplies </font></b>as well as the ingredients for tomorrow's prep routine. I could not find any Mentholatum to put under my nose, on my nose to help ease the stuffiness and soreness...only Vick's vapo rub and that's not really what I wanted for my sore nose...I had to find the little jar of Metholatum. I wonder if they have stopped making and supplying it? Surely not, that is like a cold staple for some folks like me. I never did find it and the gals in the pharmacy didn't act like they had a clue as to what I was referring, so I made my purchases and headed home. Needless to say, a quick dinner of Arby's French Dip and Swiss sandwich, gatoraid, Nightquil gel cap, more water and off to bed I went. I'm feeling okay this morning. I've already had my Dayquil and almost finished off a bottle of SmartWater before hitting the shower. I've got the Nike promotion 12/12/12 fun run/walk tonight for the walking workout tonight. I'm debating as to whether or not it will be a good idea to go ahead and walk, which I think it will do me some good, get my steps/miles in and then I'm done until Saturday. I'm hoping I'll be well on my way to feeling much better by Saturday as I am supposed to babysit my little grandson while my takes my -in-law out for her 30th birthday. Definitely not feeling HNW right now, maybe next week...have a good Wednesday!!! Pleasure's a sin, and sometimes sin's a pleasure... - Lord Byron, Don Juan |

Don't think you are over doing it on all the medication?? Vick vapo rub works for me. Get plenty of rest. Don't they have soft toilet paper at work?? I use that to blow my nose. Get well soon.  This is not meant to offend any one in any way.
