Ugly Way To End 2012!!!
I was all ready to get my time entries done today before I left the office, which closed early (3:00 p.m.). I made the mistake of taking off about 12:30 p.m. to take my paycheck to the bank since I found out that most banks were closing early today for NYE. I thought I would just run by the bank, grab a bite to eat for lunch and get right back to work...

Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way!!!

Good news is that I'm okay. My poor car is not so lucky but thank goodness the significant other put me on his car insurance last month which is incredible coverage!!! At least this gal was driving a newer Merecedes SUV AND had insurance.

It was an unnerving experience to say the least. People that were out and about right there on Brookside during the lunch hour were rude and yelling at us to move our vehicles out of the middle of the street even though the other cars were able to go around us on both sides. We called the police but because no one was "injured" we were put on the "list" and a<b> police officer </font></b>would get out there eventually to do a report. After waiting 2 hours for the TPD to come out and do a report, the gal and I exchanged information, took lots of pics with our smartphones, both of us talked to our insurance companies...we decided we had waited long enough and went our separate ways. TPD never did show...so I called and cancelled the call. I had to get back to my office to get my stuff because my attorney called and said they were shutting down the office early...I was too tired, cold and disgusted to get anything more done this afternoon.

So, I'm in for the night...worn out to say the least. I'm already trying to figure out how early I can get to the office on Wednesday morning to get the rest of my time entries done before the deadline of noon!! My insurance company already has a collision center ready to assess the damage to my car, put me in a rental car...the other insurance company is handling my deductible and for now, it all seems to be as though it might be okay...that it might actually work out.

What a way to end 2012...What does 2013 have in store for me????? Here's to a Naughty, Nasty New Year in 2013!!!!

 Glad your okay. Cars can be replaced people can't be.

Thanks, I'm glad no one was injured. I was glad that the gal that hit me had her child properly restrained in his car seat in the back seat. You're right, cars can be repaired and replaced, people, espeically children, can't!

 Oh no. So glad to hear you didn't suffer any injuries, and that your insurance details are not going to be to onerous.

Sucks that you have to go in early on Wednesday, though. I hope you really enjoy your New's Year Day. You deserve it after having this happen on New Year's Eve.

I'm cautious about dealing with insurance companies and car wrecks, but I'm hopeful that this situation will be remarkably different and it will all be taken care of and done. I've had only one really major car wreck where I had to go to the hospital and that turned into a 4-year nightmare because of the other gal's insurance.

The only good thing about having today off is that I slept in. I've already been plotting and planning what time I need to go to bed tonight and what time I want to be at the office in the morning.

Right now, all the car issues will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon.

While it was a sucky way to end the year, the car wreck did make me realize that we all need to pay more attention as we rush through life.

 Yikes that is a bad way to end the year. Hope things go better for you this year.

Yes, sucky way to end the year, but if everything works out over the next week or so with my car, I will gain a little more faith in car insurance and having one of the best car insurance companies.

 Don't forget to include a rental car when you settle with the other insurance company because your car will be in the body shop for at least two weeks.

The rental car is part of the deal. I pick up the rental car when my car goes in to be fixed. My insurance company is handling everything, including dealing with the gal's insurance company. I know I'm covered for everything with my insurance company, I also know that my insurance company will make sure the other insurance company pays up. Thank you for reminding me!!
