I want to live as long as my quality of life is good. When I become dependent on others to take care of me my time here on earth will have come to an end.
I'm not ready to go now. I just hope I don't outlive my welcome.

Very well put! I don't want to outlive my welcome. The thought of having to rely on my kids as I decline just makes me sad and I don't want to be a burden on them. I do find myself working hard to get my life to a fabulous state of quality!!!

My Mother was in great health until her 80s. As a diabetic, unless I start taking much better care of myself, I don't expect to live that long. I have given some thought to what my life might be like in my declining years, and hope my quality of life will be better than it is now. There's no time like the presence to start new healthier habits.

And, with part of my inheritance from my late Mother, I am seriously looking into pre-planning (and paying for) my funeral as I approach my 65th birthday.

As long as my brain and body are functioning, 90 might be OK.

Check out my profile or and become a "watcher" of my blog FMAOPLS,to learn more about me, and for intelligent, lively, smartassy and fun discussion, with a little irreverence thrown in. "Like" or comment on my photos, and I promise I'll add more. Thanks.

I too am working on improving myself/my health. It is becoming more difficult to work in the healthier habits but I am working on it.

Good for you on the pre-pay and planning of your funeral. I learned the hard way with both of my parents that no plan is a complete burden on your adult children. My brother, sister and I have sworn we would not do what our parents did to us to our kids. To this day the three of us remember how our dad kept saying he didn't care what happened, it wasn't going to be his problem when he died!!! What a headache and yes, heartache he left the three of us with but we came together and got it all taken care of.

I'm with you, as long as my body and mind are functioning, I won't mind living to be 90. If I start making the turn and declining, well, I just don't want that to happen!!!

I can't say. If I'm healthy, sure, why not? But when I start to go downhill, I want it to end quickly.

I've long said Im hiring the biggest titted pro I can find to smother me with her tits, and that is only HALF a joke!!
