LAST FRIDAY OF FEBRUARY

Thank goodness the ice and snow are gone. Unfortunately the weather delayed the pouring of the concrete pad for the swim spa until today. Then has sit or cure. I have put a deposit down on the 6' privacy fence which will be installed after the swim spa is put in place.

My new standard poodle puppy, Baker is doing great, growing so fast and has developed quite a trying personality. He's just too smart but still such a . Potty training is going slow but I think once I have the privacy fence installed and he can go out by himself whenever he wants, the potty training will be back on track.

My fire pit table came in yesterday (Thursday) and I put it together. I thought I had a fresh container of propane but it wouldn't light when I hooked up, so I'll go and get another bottle of propane and see if that will work.

It will be another week or two before the four lounge chairs that match the firepit table come in. I am hoping that by paying extra, the chairs will be put together so I won't have to do it, but at least I know I can do it after assembling the firepit table.

My patio oasis is coming together quite nicely. I'm so excited and thrilled that it is finally time for it to actually come into fruition.

I am still waiting for the last portion of the farm sale which was screwed up by my probate attorney. I keep waiting for her bill to come because she made it clear she would not be doing it for "free." Isn't that just like an attorney? Any way, she did me and let me know that her part was done and filed with the appropriate county. Now I'm waiting on the closing attorney to do his part and release the rest of the sale funds to me. He and his wife were expecting a in February, so I'm sure coupled with the weather issues, it may be a couple of weeks before I hear from him.

Baker has not learned that he can't start barking in the middle of the day because he wants something and I'm on the phone. I'm sure I'll get called down for it by my supervisor, but hey, he's just a puppy and he's still learning. I have no doubt that my will grow into a handsome, well behaved as time progresses.

I'm still working from home. really isn't any projected date that I'll be returning the office so work at home continues.

I managed keep my greenhouse plants from dying in the frigid below zero temps. I put another electric heater on a different circuit breaker so I could run two heaters at the time. worked. I didn't burn down the greenhouse or my house, so was a success. Everything looks really happy and healthy and as soon as the threat of the last frost passes, I'll be able move everything out on the patio complete my patio oasis.

Such is life in my world!!

The oasis sounds wonderful. You need to post a shot when it is done.

I've been trying to remember to take pics of the progress. So far, I've done pretty good because of having to wait in between the various steps/work that is being done. Right now we're waiting on the concrete to "cure." The pad was poured last Friday. The form is still attached but the concrete guy said he would be by one day this week to knock the form boards off. I'm not sure what comes next...maybe the swim spa is put into place and the electrician hooks it up. The electrican has already run the lines and set the box for it but the line to the swim spa has not been run yet, though they did tear up part of my patio and redid new concrete over the PVC pipe that they put to run the electrical line.

I'm pretty excited about it all!!

Do you think that working from home as you approach Retirement, is like a ramp up to it? I know I do.

I suppose it could be considered a ramp up but I'm not planning on retiring until I'm 70 so I've got about 7 more years. I really do like working from home though. I honestly can't imagine going back to an office environment when and if that ever happens. Time will tell and we will see.
