Apology
Apology In a previous post, exerpts from a published article were interspersed with my own opinion to which a member not so kindly emailed me about today. After reviewing the site's TOS, specifically section f, it reads that uploading, posting, emailing, transmitting or otherwise making available content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any person is prohibited. I am presuming that even citing a source in a blog could be construed as violating TOS. It was not my intent to pass off material or infringe upon another's work but apparently someone thought I did. I am apologizing to those whom may have been offended by my transgression. It is my hope that the "blog police" are as diligent in policing other blogs as they are with mine. I will strive to do better in an effort to protect my reputation as well as the integrity of the blogging community. |

As a copyright holder myself, I strive to not infringe upon anyone else's rights. Sometimes, it inadvertently happens. That said, I continually wonder at the copyright police here who are very quick to kill posted photographs, copyrighted or with a hint of copyright, yet allow plenty of other photos that are obviously not original to the poster. I salute you for being forthright about the incident.

As far as I know, when you cite a source or sources you are not passing off material or infringing upon another's work. It's the whole point of citing sources, isn't it? I don't see that as any kind of violation. Anyway, you can count me as not offended in the least, even if you did use excerpts to support your opinion. And, unless you are getting some kind of monetary gain from your blogs, I think it's ridiculous that anyone would go to such lengths to discredit a post.

I try not to infringe on copyrights.

Unfortunately FriendFinder-x is a terrible place to cite outside sources because external hyperlinks don't function correctly. Don't worry about it, myelin36. Your regular readers appreciate your wonderful blog exactly as it is. I for one don't see the need for you to make any changes to your writing and research style. After reading your apology, could you then add the real writers who you have cited, or at least mention that you haven't written the whole text yourself? Somehow make a difference what is your own writing and what is not? Perhaps use quotation marks or italics etc. And really tell it's a citation. Judging by the comments people seem to think you have written it all, even if it is clear that there are still blogs here where big parts are taken from articles written by someone else, without telling it. You seem like a smart woman, showing to people that you have copied something and added parts yourself is not making you look less smart, on the contrary! I'm not a police but sure, would be nice if at least the text parts were genuine in all blogs! (PS: my only comments related to these citations are on your blog, no kind of e-mailing etc, just to be clear) Only universal or also in Scotland Where to start my day or is it month Of course I39ll change I39ll do whatever you like Heatseeking missiles Squirter's life
