"For Science"

Last weekend was another kink party. I wont go into a full party review. At least not now. Although there were some interesting happenings at the party for me.

The picture at the bottom of the post is of me being suspended. Now I am not now nor do I think I will ever be a rope bottom. But I am trying to learn the ropes of being a rigger. So I figured that if I might one day be doing it to someone I should probably know what it is like to go through it. So a couple months ago I asked a friend and his girl friend if they would mind suspending me sometime and I explained why. We were sort on time as it was the end of the party. He got me up in about 20 minutes, when typically a good suspension that isn't rushed will take at least twice that. He did a great job with the rope and rigging given the time we had to work with. Much better then I could do at present given an hour (I'm still learning rope basics remember).

I was warned going in that I would likely find it uncomfortable. And that I wouldn't see it as a big transcendent experience since I'm not a rope bunny (or bottom). It wasn't comfortable to be sure. Honestly I don't see what the big deal is. Although the guy that put me up has actually said he would like to put me up again with more time because he feels he short changed me having to rush like we did.

So here is my question. Have you ever done anything sexually or otherwise "for science". That is to say just to find out what it is all about or what someone else is going through when you do it to them?
