Dayton Shooting

The Dayton, Ohio shooting happened about miles north of where I am right this second. Less from my house. It occurred in a historical district that has a block of cobblestone street reserved just bars, restaurants, and a few other shops. I've been that bar. A LOT. You'd be hard pressed find a time when there would be more people on the street.

And I don't want hear shit about thoughts and prayers. You get me?

There are simplistic pieces of bullshit sophistry that make this shit more likely. Nothing will prevent it, but do NOTHING, and, quite the opposite, make it easier people get such weapons and thinking, somehow, that the easy availability of guns makes people safer is just plain wrong.

Yes, mental health is an issue. But NOBODY wants fix that issue. So shut the fuck up about it.

Take away guns, and people will find another way kill. Let them try and kill people in 20 seconds with a knife or a bat.

Some people like argue that the type of gun, or weapon makes no difference. Tell that the DoD. We can save a lot of , apparently. The army chooses automatic rifles because they have more potential to kill than a handgun.
]br\I don't want to stop all people from having some guns. I just want some people to have no guns. You can't tell me it's an irrevocable right, because felons can't legally own firearms. And the whole point of serving time is to your debt society, and then have your rights restored.

No funny meme today.

Smart as a and hung like Einstein.

Once one is in the "system" they stay in the "system". That debt to society us never Considered Paid By This Government. All "they" do is find ways to keep tabs, track and keep people from being Free. The fact that a general citizen can buy an Assault Weapon is ridiculous. It is defined as, For Infantry Use yet a civilian can purchase one. They are unnecessary to be had on the streets. I support carry and conceal rights and do believe once one has served their time or paid their debt to society they should have ALL Rights Reinstated and ALL States Should Do Away With The, Felony Question on applications. Maybe understandable IF one applying has a Robbery or Theft of a passed Employer prior charge. However a Felony Possession Of Marijuana Charge And Such Nonviolent Charges Should NOT Have To Be Stated On Applications. #GiveUsFree

You check the facts, very few of those shooters overall could legally own a firearm!
Here's some fact stuff for you.

Long ago, in this year, at the time after when only 114 mass murders has been committed this year, 81 of them used legally obtained weapons, 18 were illegally obtained, 14 were unknown, and one was a mixture. Meaning only a third, at most, used illegally obtained firearms. Which jibes with other reports that say the same thing for preceding years.

Your assertion does not match facts.

It's your assertion. You show me the "facts". I haven't mentioned anything but facts. Where are yours?

Mental Health access needs to be addressed, gun control/access needs to be addressed....and the LOUD voice of hatred needs to be addressed. My heart breaks for those families~~

The crazy thing about this shooting is that he went after his sister and killed her ..wonder if she was a trigger that set him off.🤔

I will be all for any law that would stop or slow down these type of incidents. But from what I see of laws trying to stop something do not work very well. Example opioides are a controlled substance and crack is illegal yet both can be purchased anywhere in the US.
Great point, not to mention that most of the perpetrators committing these crimes r not allowed to own guns by codes and rules written over 20 years ago!

Both shooters on Saturday were legal dun owners. So was the guy in Vegas. And several others. And Parkland. And several others. I'm not sure your assertion matches facts.

That's a problem in approach. The drug war has been fought from the supply-side, in that if you stop the supply, you'll stop the problem. Of course, the flaw is that if there is a demand, there will be a supply. So how do we end the demand for mass shootings? I just can't fathom the "let's not try because it might not work" idea.
