Sleep-over at the brothel

Nope I'm not kidding! First off before anyone flies off the handle regarding<b> </font></b>and legalities here oflt;b> </font></b>is legal in Denmark! It's illegal to profit on others prostituting them selves. You can rent out houses for it, get paid to help out in the house etc, but you cannot rent out your house to a much higher rent than otherwise possible - then the police would like a word with you.

OK - that was the most borring bit over and done with.

A friend of mine works in a brothel answering the phones. It was a HUGE surprise to me when I found out, but being the nosy person that I am, I wanted to know where, how, what, when, etc. So she offered that I could come with her yesterday, and stay the night.

So I packed up, and set out with her for the night.

The place was a small house in what is probably a town - at least it has signs claiming to be and a trainstation, however, it's minute! From the outside not much adverticed what it was, an equally tiny sign in one of the windows said the name of the place, and that was it.

We went in, and was greated by a stunning brunette, with a huge smile, and a dull mouse (turned out she was the one manning the phone till my friend took over). After "mousy" left the three of us made ourselves comfortable and had a few cups of coffee, while I asked about 700 questions - all answered by the lovely girl (she was 2 who had this job that I just really don't get.

Here's the deal for me: I love sex, but even if it was a man who really turned me on who was offering me money to have sex with him, I still would not be able to do it. It's an imidiate turn-off for me. Can't explain it any further than that, but it means that I really don't get it, and this is even before we get to having sex with guys that really does not do anything positive for you/me/her/what-ever... You know what I mean.

She was very practical about it, for her this was seriously a job - means to an end. On the other hand she has not had one single one-night-stand in her life (well we're talking guys not paying for it), and she really didn't get that.

I was looking at her: 28-years-old, stunning (curvy, flat stomach, e-cup, thick, long brown hair), educated and intelligent. Really not the kind of woman that you'd (or at least I wouldn't) expect to find in a hore house. But I can understand how she can make money that way - as opposed to the ones that are normally in the news.

Come dinner time I decided to make my self usefull and make dinner for all of us. Which was greatfully accepted by the others and even more so when served

There were a couple of customers, but otherwise it was a fairly uneventful evening. We did what "girls" do best: Talked, laughed, drank coffee and had a great time.

At the end of it two of us took either side of a sofa, and the third one slept on the floor.

I know that according to the heading there might be a few guys who has fantasies about different endings, but I have to disappoint you: Nothing naughty happened. Oh well, I guess it did for the customers, but for otherwise it was just girl-talk and coffee...

I guess when it comes down to it its no different than any other job. You meet people there and become friendly and social.

Regular job - same hours, just not every day... It did creep me out a bit, and I had to ask if she never enjoyed sex, but apparently she does with her boyfriend... And yes he does know what she does for a living. She was very straight forward about the whole thing. Right now it's to save up, so she can buy an appartment or a small house rather than having to rent a place.

I'd say it's still quite a bit different than other jobs, because you get just that bit more friendly with the "customers"... But I was surprised to learn how well rounded a girl/woman she was. Actually great to see, but a surprise non the less. I know that I'm falling into thinking about girls like her as the stereotypes that's always protraied. Won't happen again though

Boring end...

Ok...confession...there was a time in my life that I visited a brothel a few times. I really was curious as to how things operate there...(In South Africa prostittion is illegal, however we have 'escort agencies', so you can pay a lady to spend time with you...you pay for her time and not for sex...and obviously what is mutually agreed between adults, (i.e. to have sex) is legal!!!! Yes, I realise it is stupid, but that's how it is.)

The one thing that striked me at the time, is exactly what you highlight - beautiful, sophisticated, intelligent women (not all of them obviously). The one woman even showed me her 'business plan'. She became a whore so she could buy a house within (I think it was) one year. The idea was to move out the business straight after that. I did not think at time she would manage to break with prostitution afterwards, yet she did! She stuck to her guns and moved on - one house later!!

Boring or not - guess that's a matter of oppinion. We had a great time

I don't know if this girl has planned when to get out of it, but I know that right now it's paying the bills better than no job - although we do have unemployment benefits here. I have no doubt, however, that if she at one point decides to get out, that's excatly what she'll do.

I have often thought that running a legal brothel would be such a cool thing to do. I understand where you just don't get why a woman would "sell" herself, but seriously...they look at it as a job. It is not any different to them than modeling or running a machine. They use their body and are usually very well paid for it. I joked with a friend of mine a while ago that she could make alot more money doing that than working for minimum wage at her current job...and she'd likely like it alot more. But there is the thing about not being able to pick your customers...mind you I suppose that could also be arranged....anyway...good for Denmark! I think if we legalized it here and kept control over it things would be much better.

Although they consider it just a job, I'm fairly sure that they also view it as being VERY different to running a machine or modeling. After all there's no other industry where your customers comes that close to you. Not even porn - as the customer views the end result, and don't partake it the "action".

If you want to run a brothel I don't think that you can do it based on the girls taste. You either cater for all people who wants to buy the services on offer, or you'd end up getting a bad reputation - or at least that's my thought on it. And if the house can't cater for a selected few, then the girls can't either...

Thank you so much for the compliment - and welcome to my blog

I think that they have to leave out the emotional side of it, as it would otherwise involve too much of them selves and then it would stop being a job for them. I have talked to this girl again since, and although I still wouldn't be able to do what she does, I can to some extent understand why she's doing it.
