wondering... why don't people respond to e-mails? why don't they at least respond saying they're not interested or something? any thought?... |

WHEN I RESPOND TO A GUY IT USUALLY TO SAY THANKS, BUT I AM NOT INTERESTED....THEY THEN TAKE IT AS I AM INTERESTED AND KEEP BUGGING ME...SO I GAVE UP AND TEND NOT TO RESPOND AT ALL. I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR MY OWN HAPPINESS!! (MY LIFE'S PHILOSOPHY)

it may be that we're limited to a handful of emails a day. I also know for sure that I've sent emails that were not delivered as well... I don't know why more people don't communicate through blogs... although, I can't get anyone to respond to them either...

I ask this same question all the time, but I know you ladies get tons of emails so it is very hard to keep up. I agree 100%. How long does a polite "no thank you" take? Heck, I had a guy page me on IM a couple of days ago. I took the time to tell him that I was hopelessly straight, but took his interest as a compliment and thanked him. See, a nice, polite "No thank you". Even worse in my opinion are people who say that want to meet and then vanish. Had one person who kept saying she wanted to meet. We were going to a movie. She was supposed to call to confirm that she was free and but never did. Then she'd say next week and the same thing would happen. Finally told her I didn't think she was serious and was deleting her contact info. Two other times I've been stood up on first meetings. I always let the other party pick the place for comfort/safety reasons (call it sexist if you want to, but I think women need to be more careful meeting people for the first time). I met someone recently online. We exchanged info and chatted elsewhere. We were supposed to chat the next day. Haven't heard from her for three days. I really think a lot of people like the idea of meeting someone, but then get cold feet when faced with the reality of it.ope you have better luck.

I know what you mean. Between the fakes and the inactive, when you see someone who's been on in the last month you'd at least like to get the "I'm not interested" reply. You just don't seem to get many of those either though...

I agree, I send out a lot of emails and whether you are interested or not, I believe it is a common courtesy to at least say hey thanks you know but I/we are just not interested. Thats what I do, at least i know where i stand.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE NOT RESPONDING TO EMAILS OR THEY ARE ONLINE BUT WILL NOT CHAT. IT IS ALMOST LIKE THEY ARE AFRAID TO EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY RECEIVED THE CONTACT, AND THEN WHEN YOU TRULY DON'T GET ANYTHING FROM THEM THEY GET BECAUSE YOU SAY YOU NEVER GOT IT. STEVEN

Not a matter of "Effort" they even have those Bulk Replies where you can click on 10 messages and send all of them a Generic Yes Im interested or No Im Not reply.
