 yes Ford did design,no it wasn't on MASH,,this wasn't made until 1959

 It's a Truck, Utility, 1/4 ton, 4X4, M151. The early versions had a nasty tendency to lift the inside rear wheel in tight turns. The M151A1 mostly fixed that.

you got most of it right,it's called Military Unit Tactical Truck(MUTT)
