Allergies

OMG...what the fuck kind of super ragweed pollen is out there?
Personally, I think this is some kind of revenge for managing to duck any allergy issues this past Spring. I have coughed until my sides hurt.
But on a bright note, this soup and broth diet is really helping the diet along.

So, how's tricks with you cool cats today?
For all you folks in Coastal Texas, stay safe! I've been watching this on webcams all day. This one looks wicked mean.
Trumps message to Texas?
Good luck!
Really? No words of concern, no reassuring statement that FEMA might actually do their jobs correctly.
Just "Good Luck".
Wow, what a Statesman. He's almost as proficient at public speaking off the cuff as he is at business management, eh?

Even though I'm sick as fuck, my hormones are still being all hormone-y.
Tick Tock, toy store, tick tock.

I've done jack-all today but lay in bed in a benedryl haze, reading and watching the news and
Napping. Napping. Napping.
I'm not entirely sure this is just allergies, I've had a low grade fever along with the coughing, sneezing, watery eyes.
The minion horde were shipped off to relatives houses, so the mutts have taken full advantage and have laid on the bed with me most of the day, except when that dastardly mailman showed up again.
You'd have thought he would have gotten the message by now.

Well, leave me a comment and tell me how you've spent this Friday.

I'm sick, please entertain me!

I spent my Friday 'crate digging' at the record and CD stall in the indoor market. I used to run it myself at one point.
My eyes are sore and it turns out that I need new glasses! I like visiting the opticians because I never know who I might bump in to!

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Friday was my first "normal" work day in about 3 weeks, due to a combination of various trips and special events. I actually kind of enjoyed it!

I'm a littale better today, but still not 100%. I detest a head cold, it will be good to see Fall kill some of this mess off.
Glad you had a good first day back to work 🙂

I spent part of the day reading a Brad Thor book that makes me really wonder of we can stay away from WW III with the way pres. is acting in DC- very scary

You're more likely to get Shakespeare from a monkey then words of concern, or a reassuring statement from him.

"business management"? He tanked a football league in the US.

Enjoy the haze, but only briefly - then get well.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Every time I hear someone say he has to be good at business because he has lots of money, I cringe and bite my tongue. He has lots of money because he has been a corporate raider throughout his life. It is little more than highway robbery made legal.
And the immigrants of his blood line made money off whorehouses. Apple never falls too far from the tree. Exploitation is the only business he is in.

I went to Adult Swim at our community pool... ignored most of my neighbors after the minimum of small talk, swam a bit, accepted compliments on my cheeseball dip. Now I'm re-reading The Stand... you know, the Steven King novel about how people come down with a horrible virus that starts with allergy-like symptoms? It's been re-released with a bunch of stuff he left out in the original.

(hugs) hope you're feeling better soon.

Ooo! New pages in an old favorite. I'll have to look that one up. You know, if such a virus would come to pass here, I kind of think that maybe being among the first to check out might actually be more a blessing than a curse.
I've seen shades of a world depleted in too many movies to want to try to survive such a thing, you know?
