Planned Swing Club Attack By Isis Thwarted By French Police

French police arrested six individuals with ties to radical group Isis in early February. The six had been planning attacks against French swing clubs, according to “Arrested: Suspected Islamic State Terror Cell Plotting Attacks On Swingers Clubs,” which appeared on the Breitbart web site.

Naturally I’m delighted that the attacks were halted before they could take place. One has to wonder, however, how the group imagined it would pull off such attacks. According to both Breitbart and the International Business Times, the group consisted of five men and woman.

Most swing clubs offer limited access to single men: On days when single men aren’t welcome, many clubs have strict “couples and single women only” policies.

One can imagine the internal squabbling over which of the male crusaders would have drawn the duty of accompanying the lone female representative. They might well have wiped each other out before even starting their attack.

If anything, there would be double incentive for the men. French clubs, unlike their American counterparts, serve alcohol… and it’s not hard to imagine the would-be attackers giving in to multiple indulgences. The 9/11 attackers are known to have thrown money around in strip clubs before getting on the airplanes.

There’s a question, however, as to sincere the attackers truly were. According to the Breitbart article, “…all had purchased bus tickets to Syria via Bulgaria and Turkey – presumably because they planned on escaping to join IS if they were not ‘martyred’ during their attack.”

Aha! And if they could claim to be lost in the attacks, assumedly they could melt into the French swing scene, enjoy a bit of the lifestyle, and only be out the price of a bus ticket to Syria.

It could be that Isis is irked at the swinger community having coopted its name. As earlier noted (Whats In A Name For UK Swingers Club Isis Quest, Filthy Lucre) the brand has proved a boon to swingers looking to get it on under its umbrella.

There was no word on how intently French authorities are doing door-to-door searches of the estimated 500 clubs located throughout the country. French swingers must surely be sleeping better tonight… if they’re not too busy using their beds for other purposes.

Have you ever took out the Burka off one of their babes? Good grief! I would head to the nearest bar or French strip club to!
In all seriousness, I seem to recall reading somewhere that women in places like Saudi Arabia do a fair amount of shopping in places akin to Victoria's Secret...and that the undergarments worn under burkas can be quite lovely and indulgent...

The stores, if I recall, are completely off limits to men. Check out the 2011 Arabian Business article "Victoria’s Secret opens new stores in Saudi, Bahrain" for details...

So glad they caught the attackers before anyone else was injured or killed. And you know me and my smart ass comments..I have to wonder how they would of attacked a swingers club..would they have maybe put C-4 in the toys. Just a what if kind of thought.

But seriously I am so glad they were caught..no one certainly needs to deal with another ISIS terrorist attack..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

You're absolutely right. Not the French... nor anybody.

As for the toys... I'm biting back the obvious "going out with a bang" comments, which wouldn't be all that funny anyway...

But anyone with a genuinely funny smart ass comment is encouraged to make it!

I am from the southern state of Kerala India. We never surrendered to conquerors except for a treaty accepting the suzerainty of the British. Many of the 5 tribes of Jews who migrated to India starting at 722 B,C.E and late, took refuge with us. When the Portuguese almost defeated us and demanded the Jesus killers ie the Jews to be handed over to save our lives, we Nazarenies (One who follows Bhagwan Jesus of Nazareth/Christians) took old testament Jewish names. (we didn't bother to change it back after the war, and continue to name children after grand parents)

We won the war. Funny thing was we ended up with 2 Jewish first names. The Indians you see with funny names like John John, Mathew Thomas, Sara Abraham etc are their descendants like me. In the three thousand years of Jewish history in India, there is only one tree of righteous planted in Israel to honor the christian nanny who ran thru a hail of bullets to save the child of a rabbi from Brooklyn who was in charge of Chabad in Mumbai.

Germany and Sweden has made a Himalayan blunder. As funny as your post is there is nothing funny about Islamist trying to create a one world order under Sharia. The conquest of India stated 711 A.D. and finally succeeded in 1398 A.D. to sack the capital Delhi. They are not done yet. Want to see what is in store for Europe watch?v=TMY2YV9WucY

I just heard on the news that 5 girls from Canada, who went to join ISIS.....3 gave birth and two are pregnant. The babies are radicalized at birth.
I hope ISIS can be eliminated but I'm afraid it will be slow. There are rumors that some men wear burkas to hide and get away!

I realize that this post was controversial. You are correct: Ultimately there is nothing funny about the threat of such an attack.

This blog focuses on, among other topics, happenings that relate tangentially and more directly to the swinging community. Rather than go with yet another story about a club being denied a business permit, I went with this.

There IS something funny about a repressive strain of a religion targeting a pure-pleasure operation... and it is funny because, ultimately, the French authorities managed to neutralize the threat without anyone getting hurt.

Your perspective is valuable, and I appreciate it (as well as the historical observations, which I am going to research further). But I also believe that one way to combat extreme ideology of any type is to expose it to ridicule, and I have done that here.

Please come back to this blog. I've enjoyed your posts on Tantra and other forms of mind/body sexuality.

I am glad such an attack was thwarted. If only those religious fanatics would learn to relax. Or better yet, use reason and disavow religion altogether. That may seem controversial but you do not see atheists or secular humanists advocating for war like religious folk. Granted greed will fuel some wars(don't we know) but far fewer wars would be waged. Just imagine what the world could do with lessening the military industrial complex and dedicated resources to other human pursuits.
Better still would be to embrace the swinging lifestyle. I can't think of anyone who was consistently well laid within the last 300 years who declared any sort of war, religious or secular.

Seriously, isn't the face of everyone who has waged war of late been one of sexual frustration?

Given that you listed Breitbart as your source I thought it prudent to do some goooogling of my own. Admittedly, like the Onion, it's a great entertainment source, but like the Onion, I hadn't noticed that they've ever felt especially constrained by facts.

I can imagine that French cops would be all over this plot, and that it would be considered a national priority. The sanctity of French swing clubs should be a matter of Gallic pride! Vivé la France!

But....martyred in a swinger club....what a way to go.

I had my hesitation about using Breitbart as well, but there was also a piece that appeared on the International Business Times which more or less corroborated the original article. (It didn't have as juicy a quote, so I did go with Breitbart.)

Personally, I would love to see such matters elevated to the level of national security here in America. After 9/11, congressfolk from all over the country rushed to claim they had areas of vital security in their backyards, and therefore deserving of federal security largess...

There are many ways to go in a swing club. "Martyred" strikes me as being the least of them!

Yes, I'll second that sentiment! Maybe they were hedging their bets on the seventy two virgins promise. It never seemed all that plausible to me, and one or two of them must have doubts. Whaddya think?

I have yet to hear of anyone running into a virgin at a swing club... but then, we're not exactly dealing with an informed population, are we?

Well, that's kind of what I meant by hedging. Maybe that virgin business was beginning to look a bit shaky, and not just the head count. What are you gonna do when you martyr yourself, get to heaven and find that those "virgins" were over marketed? There you stand riddled with bulletholes and your six dozen virgins are looking somewhat...used? Maybe even a a bit raggedy. A little boozy, cigarettes dangling from a few lips. American cigarettes at that. Fishnet stockings with some pretty good sized tears in them. Stained lingerie. You ain't gonna get your money back.

ISIS targeting swingers clubs? What's next? I can only dare to think what other venues they have set their sights on. I agree with Annie: make love not war.

If more so-called terrorists focused their energy on getting laid, rather than on creating mayhem and carnage, it might deflect would-be terrorists into perhaps engaging in other more productive pursuits.
