Tricky

Well, went to the doctor finally and he hooked me up with the lovely Tussionex, that magical concoction of chlorpheneramine and codeine, and some sweet antibiotics. I'm still feeling like ass, but at least now I can sleep the day away. My fever finally broke and my joints are feeling much better. Sitting at the coffeehouse with a friend last night listening to bits and pieces of conversation at neighboring tables, I was struck by how inane words are. Why do we spend hours talking about petty insignificant topics? I feel as if I should have been born a mute. Words tire me, they are a facade, a misrepresentation of intrinsic character. When I look someone in the eye I feel I know them better than if we were to blab on for years even. So much is said when words arent spoken and true nature is revealed. Perhaps this is why so many people feel it necessary to ramble on obnoxiously, to detract attention away from the obvious.

Good girl. Feeling a little better today?

It is kind of entertaining to listen to the background babble sometimes. I get a chuckle out of some of the things I overhear. Comical how you can just look at someone and know exactly what they're going to say.

In reference to your last statement, this is especially true
with the media and unfortunately I see it infecting the general population. I don't think it's a stretch to conclude
that the words were mean't to both tire and stupefy you. All of the
narcotic reiterations, ruminations, fear-mongering, and pettifoggering reproduces the worst features of organized religion as criticized by Marx. And there is a pathology to all of this repetition. A poem by the Dadaist Tristan Tzara, in which the
word "Roar" is repeated 147 times (a randomly picked number), illustrates this. After several to many repetitions the semantic aborts from the phonetic and the word spins like a charged particle.
It's like looking at Andy Warhol's serigraphed array of Campbell's
soup cans for a long time. They take on a hallucinatory quality.

Oh and just by the by... I'd LOVE a CD songlist. Something healing and upbeat. I think I've had enough of the blues for a while. Amaze and astound me

Do that for me and I'll be your best bud!

Background noise is inane, but informative. It makes me feel good about using the English language. But I'm always amazed at how few people really get the hang of English.

That's the truth Twisted. That and people just don't know how to connect anymore without words.
