can you be too old for sex?

can you be too old for sex? I have found myself asking this question. After all it does seem like older guys get shunned on here. How do we as a society raise up MILFS and cougers, while saying nothing about its men? I do have to admit that in my younger years the idea of someone as "old" as my parents doing it did seem absurd. Now that I am older than 50 its seems strange not to think about having a sex life. Recently a Wall Street Journal article, titled Desire in the Twilight of Life, shined a bit of light on this. It seems that I have not been the only one thinking about this. Recent research is showing that although sexual activity does decline with age, it does not stop. In fact they have found that half of those between 65 and 74 remain active. Also it seems that amoung women, the lack of an able partner is ranked higher than having a loss of desire, as reasons for not having sex more often. When it came to health problems being listed as a reason, it was noted that the problem was not theirs but their partners. So it appears that us guys better start taking better care of ourselves. Of course all type of interesting things come to mind at this point. As my generation gets older how will this affect society? Will we see DO NOT DISTRUB signs at retirement homes? Or maybe sex toy marketing for older people? Years ago I remember a TV special on sex. They asked an older couple if they still had sex. The gentlemans reply was that what they used to do all night, now took them all night to do. His wife agreed. I hope we all can look forward to such future enjoyment. |

I hope I am never too old for sex. I love it too much!

When I see guys my own age looking like they are ready for the old folks home already I count my lucky stars I both got some good genetics and took care of myself well throughout my life because it seems that for some who are my age life is almost over NOW!!  It's tough enough to now stay in good physical condition and to remain somehow attractive to the opposite sex but I can't imagine how much tougher it would be if you didn't have an established history of staying fit and all that. So yeah, taking care of yourself can really go a long way in keeping yourself simply able to have sex. My dad is a great example for me though. Nearly 86 now and still only on some very mild eyedrop medication. And occasionally needs to wear his hearing aid. Other than that he's fine! So hopefully I'll last that long with no big problems too!
