Older and divorced

A recent newspaper article talked about how much of an increase that has been occuring in older people divorcing. Seems that alot of couples are staying together for the . Once they are gone after College or High School, then often the divorce happens. One party is unhappy with their treatment and then files to end it. Seemed all cut and dried.

But it got me thinking is it just one person? The story talked to a woman that told her story. I believe it was that he just hung out golfing with his buddies. I mean what started that? Was this really the first sign that the home fire was not burning so bright anymore? Or was it filling the empty time left from the over active schedules? Or was it sex or loss of love? Every story was probably slightly different. There are signs we all miss at the time but looking back we understand how much stronger hind sight is over fore sight.

How do we grow older and wiser? Are we not suppose to be driving off the cliff of life?

Well I'm pretty bullheaded and thought that we were working towards the same goals in our life together. I loved him unconditionaly,,,,too bad it wasn't the same for him. After 23 years I had had enough. Till death due us part,,,,well the death came in the form of the marriage dying.
I made it 13 years in my and then the last gasp came. Just like you I thought we were working on the same goals.

for us we know it is way cheaper to stay together then to go out and spend good money for a new fling, so we just stay hooked up and have fun and good times. nothing like a wild night when you find yourself at steak n shake having the time of your life after a boring day at the new job together.we love each other even tho we have our knock down drag outs but making up keeps us going strong

we may drive toward the cliff of life but we power spin away when we are close to it.wwwwweeeee wwwweeee wwwweee. great bloging Brad
There are those that stay together, like yourself. I know that kids are important but how do you just seem to do it for the kids? What kind of message is that sending to the kids?
