yesterday was a good day

Late yesterday I took my usual Dinner buddy out for Dinner at a place called Quarry Hill Winery in Berlin Heights just east of Sandusky Ohio. It is off the beaten path, but its worth it. The winery is in this beautiful building that has huge glass windows that look out over the orchards and vineyards surrounding the building. The Apple trees were in bloom so it was a pleasent sight to view. Dinner was nothing to fancy but tasty. We had hummus with flatbread, Lobster bisque, meat panni and dessert. The real star was this red wine, Buckeye red. It is fruity and sweet. After dinner we did a bit of wine tasting. This Winery has a awesome Blackberry wine, raspberry wine and I think a cherry wine. The Niagaria was gone for now so I guess another trip is in store. The staff was friendly and know their Wines. This was the perfect way to blow off some of that tax day stress.
