Ode to Dano

It’s hard to explain exactly how I felt
When I saw your picture the first time…
Those eyes had a combination of mirth and mischief
Your lips just screamed to be kissed
And for a moment I thought “o’ what is it like to be yours?”

But life has a way of ruining such thoughts
For you live so far, so far away …
And how we met would be difficult to explain
So it is not easy to turn the tide in our favor

Perhaps he already loves someone
Mayhap he wants to be alone
Answers I’ll never know…

Nevertheless, it’s clear that these images
Makes me continue to be certain that
My dream guy may still be out there somewhere ..

 When we look for dream girls, or dream guys, then think we've found them, we have just set ourselves up to get hurt.

When people say, "Nobody is perfect", they are saying, "Dream people don't exist".

So then one may say, "That's okay, I can compromise".

The problem with compromising is , people are not always clear about how much they should NOT compromise on.
