A Little About Me

A Little About Me I am an alien. I've always felt out of place on this planet and I've put this down to the fact that I must have been stranded here due to some gross intergalactic clerical error. So while I wait for my mothership I record my observations on "Life, the Universe and Everything." I don't write serious and meaningful. If it isn't amusing to me in some way, you won't find it here. Who wants to listen to rants and raves and groans and moans? I save that for my friends in person. (That probably explains why I don't have many.) I've lived in 5 countries and 6 states. Any self respecting scout alien in an outpost needs to experience as many cultures as possible. And I have come to the conclusion that humans are weird, mixed up, unbalanced, beautiful, funny and magnificent. In my time here, I have adopted the "weird, mixed up, and unbalanced" parts perfectly. I must say that I find myself quite entangled in it. God Bless Goodgirl. I am indebted to her forever! I just laughed my way through your entry on spinsterhood and it amazes me that those gorgeous eyes, curly locks and a twisted view on life has not entangled other men before me. You must have really gone out of your way to avoid jury duty. Awwww flattery will get you everywhere. I blame my spinsterhood on jury duty. I'm not allowed to serve as I only have a green card not citizenship. THAT'S why I'm single. It may have something to do with the "cooking prerequisite" or the "cooking handicap" that you profess to have because I remember my mother telling my sisters "the way to a mans heart is through his stomach". While my mother was right about most things I disagree with her on that one, the way to my heart is through both of my heads and I suspect that you are still single because you have restricted your search to the men who operate on only one head. It's true. My cooking could eradicate even the deepest of true loves. But NO NO NO. I definitely don't limit my search to men operating with only one head. Both heads must be fully functional and equally able to keep up with me. But the top head is definitely the gateway to the other. If that one doesn't work, everything comes to a grinding halt. Its not to late to volunteer for jury duty, at 41 there is still enough life ahead to meet prospective jurors, fall in love, get married and see your golden jubilee. By that time you may be so sick of Romeo you may prefer to be in the defendants chair providing some other spinster her opportunity at marital bliss. Alas with jury duty closed off to me I shall have to keep trying my luck at the local 7-11. What can I say, keep writing, keep looking, learn to cook. I am guessing you enjoy quirky, so here is my effort at a quirky display for you: How harmonious! You used 'magnificent' in your description of people, yet you said that your stronger suits were the other points. Well I've got the 'magnificent' covered! We are as one! Ebony and ivory! Sonny and Cher! Archie and Meathead  You even gave us a nice Douglas Adams quote to start. I like Well I am probably not an alien, however I am often an outcast, like Phantom of the Opera or Mr. Hankey. That's mainly cause my cranial capacity and thus ego are so large that I can no longer pass through regular doorways, and so I need the wide archways of the sewer to move around freely. Hi Freedom: Your "current" profile comments almost read like the Nick Lowe song, All Men Are Liars. I'm sorry that things turned out that way for you. I'm curious about something in your blog profile though. Do/did people really e-mail you fart jokes? I was viewing someone's profile on another site and saw in her picture that she was at the Half Moon. I was thinking to myself: "Self, you haven't been there in a while. You ought to stop by for a bev." (I haven't been there since a friend of mine has now retired.) So, I'll be stopping by for a bev on Thursday between 6-6:30. Since I'll be working in NJ that day, I can't pin the time down any closer. If you'd like to stop, I'll be happy to buy you a bev too. If you'd rather not, I understand (no harm/no foul).
