No Shows when meeting?

No Shows when meeting?

Well it happened again. We set a date and time and place to meet with this couple. We were there a few minutes early and waited and again there was a no show. Two weeks ago the same thing happened with a single male, another no show. We even confirmed with them about the meet prior the same days.

Don't people realize how frustrating this is? You spend the time getting ready and you go out and they just leave you waiting there and never show up or even give you a explanation later on why they didn't show up. Has this happened to you to? Are these people just playing a game? What do you do in this situation?

No show happened to me last night. Not the first time, won't be the last. It is such a pain, as you say, to anticipate the meeting, get already and get to the meeting spot only to be stood up.

It is frustrating, but seems to be normal on here. I personally would not do it. If something comes up, I understand, but at least give an explanation or apologize. If you don't want to meet or get cold feet at least be upfront about it. I. and I believe, many others would appreciate it.

I'm with you...it's happened far too many times. In my case a couple of them even deleted their profiles. In this case of single men I figure it's because they;re married/attached and just got cold feet. In the case of a couple I just don't understand it...maybe one of them felt pressured into it and called it off? Either was the polite thing to do would be to send a quick text or call and cancel.

Yes...it is one of the facts about this site....too many fakers! They talk the talk but don't walk the walk. I have had multiple no shows...couples and singles. But, on the other hand, I did meet several wonderful folk on here. For every success there was three no shows! Don't get discouraged....keep trying and eventually it will work out!

It seems to work better if you actually meet in person a day or 2 in advance of a playdate, just for a drink and a chat. If they can be bothered to show for it, they'll probably show for fun. If they don't, you're not out a hotel room and a weekend night.

I hear you! Its happened to me several times(I mostly meet cpls for mfm). I have had to cancel 2 times(illness and my daughter had an accident) and I'm sure they were disappointed as well..but most are fakers and set you up for shits and giggles..some get cold feet. Sometimes the guy wants to meet but he happened not to get his wife on board! lol..oh well ...Craigslist WAS the best meetings!
