 I miss taking road trips with my wife. We used to talk about all kinds of stuff like you two did, and it was a good way to catch-up with each other without the normal distractions at home.

I recently had to drive to Clinton, NC two days in a row to resolve an issue a new application of my employer's latest product. We too talked about a whole host of topics. Women, ex wives, our job security, politics, food, etc... It was nice to drive together for those two days and talk, because we rarely get a chance to otherwise.

It sounds like your relationship is progressing nicely. I think that's great!

 Wait, you work with your wife? Or is this a coworker you're chatting with?

It is progressing nicely. I like that I can talk about relationship issues with Katie without feeling a big tight lump in my chest. There's something very casual and open about her personality, and we're talking rather than fighting. Maybe we just haven't been dating long enough.
