PREPARING A SEX PARTY   Following on from a previous post, ORGANISING A SEX PARTY, this post is about preparing for a sex party. We would start about a couple of days beforehand. I always compiled a big list of things to do for the party - yes, I was a man with the clipboard! The first task was to go shopping. We would buy some party food (just savoury nibbles) and some drink (mainly beer, wine, lemonade, cola, orange juice and water). Couples would always bring drink along to the party - generally, there was always more drink left over after the party than drink we bought for the party. Also, we would buy coffee, teabags, milk, sugar, headache tablets, toilet rolls, tissues, bin bags, condoms and lube/massage gel (a wonderful combination). Our shopping bill for a party would be about £200 - not bad for lots of sex and memories! The next task, which we’d start the day before the party, was to set up the apartment for the party. We would move lots of things (eg ornaments, kitchen utensils) from the kitchen, lounge and bedrooms to the study, which was used for people to leave their possessions while at the party. Then, we would move the furniture around to maximise the floor space. The kitchen and lounge were social areas where people would chat, drink and eat. The two bedrooms were used as play areas. The next job - and this was the biggest chore - was to sort out the bedding. We had amassed lots of duvets and pillows but all of them needed protectors. We found that many pillows and duvets got very wet after a party so we decided to buy duvet and pillow protectors as there was always some squirting going on at parties. We also had several mattresses which we put down on the bedroom floors. I would set up the two bedrooms harem-style. Each bedroom would have about three mattresses pushed together on the floor; layers of duvets would be placed on top of the mattresses and then lined with pillows. The bedrooms were, hopefully, inviting to have sex! About eight people could then all have sex together on the harem-style mattresses. The next job was to put bowls of condoms in the two bedrooms. We’d also put lube/massage gel and tissues in the bedrooms. And we’d make sure there was an ample supply of toilet paper in the two bathrooms. The last jobs were all about titivating the apartment before the guests arrived - dimming the lights, closing the curtains and shutting the blinds so no one could see what would go on from the outside, setting up music in the lounge and two bedrooms, and placing bins around the apartment for people to dispose of cans, bottles and used condoms. A good day was spent getting ready for the party. Was it all worth it? Please wait for the next instalments to see whether it was! We used to hold parties at my ex-partner’s house, which had the advantage of a hot tub but the disadvantage of a teenage living there. Nothing could be done until she left the house for the weekend. It DOES sound like a hell of a lot of work! You know that old expression "neither a borrower nor a lender be"? this applies to us...neither a party goer or giver be. I like parties and would love to attend more, but my wife is a very private woman and is a bit shy in party situations. She also goes to bed with the chickens. The party that involved the most organisation was a surprise 40th birthday for a family member. That was tough keeping it a secret.  Never organised the sort of party where children might get in the way.  I have some of that lube/massage gel beside the bed at present.  ~~Anais Nin~~

Yep, all kinds of protections is a MUST! Both beds and people  And food... have been only to some parties and there are always some who get too drunk... not fully sure why, some at least are a bit too shy and spend their time with a glass in hand. A few people offered to contribute to the cost of holding a party but we always turned down the kind offers. We didn't want to hold parties where we charged people for attending as some may think we're doing it to make money and they'd perhaps expect more from a party if they had paid for it! Several people always offered to help set up the party and clean up after the party - we never turned down these kind offers! The teenage daughter did find a used condom but we just said it was our friends who were staying overnight, which was strictly true! I'm not totally sure she believed us.

I would love to be a professional sex party organiser. I did toy with the idea but realised I'd have problems telling my parents and friends what I do for a living!

I have never hosted a party or had the hassle of teenagers. I actually presently have a bottle of the same lube/massage gel as in your picture... I'm not a big fan of it as either; as lube (even when warmed) it just feels gluey and stings a little (during internal contact) and as a massage gel, it causes the epidermis to peel, leaving flakes of skin all over the bed and under the fingernails of whoever gives the massage. Your parties do seem to be extremely well organised... A bit like a military operation but I suppose they have to be in order to be a success.

Hello, it is just me, Kathleen. I know nothing about any of this, but I could whip up a virtual sex party and some witty sexy banter if you like; but it would just be phony baloney. I have a vivid imagination; I think I could pass for quite a minx. Do you know how to get lube stains out of bedding? It's best to avoid them in the first place, but if you can't, you use more lube and re-wet the stain and then launder promptly. I have never heard of the dual type of lube you mention. My knowledge of lube is useful, but it's kinda like being all dressed up and nowhere to go. I hope you invite me to your virtual sex party!

What party involved the most effort for you to host? Regular cocktail parties! Have children ever got in the way when you host a party? No! Have you ever used the lube that can double up as massage gel? One or the other!

Our sex parties would be like a normal party - people chatting and drinking in the kitchen, except that people could retire to the bedrooms to have sex. Several people often didn't have any sex and just chatted and watched. There was never any pressure for people to have sex.
