BLOGLAND CHAOS  What a car crash that greeted when I logged onto this site, especially in blogland! How have you found the new Community format? The good news is that the site will soon revert back to the old format - please see the exchange of mails between and Andrew Conru, the site's founder, earlier today. My mail to the site The new Community format is a disaster. I’ve spent the last two hours trying navigate the blogs I follow and the groups I’ve joined. Though I can find my blog and my group I moderate amidst the unsolicited links of blogs and groups that don’t interest , I can’t do the things that I could do with the old format. With blogs, I cannot find the bloggers I follow unless I stumble across them. I cannot find replies to my comments on other blogs. There is no overview page which gave a sense of community with a list of new posts of bloggers I follow and a link to where I’m quoted. With my blog, I cannot see who has just posted a comment for me to reply . I cannot see a listing of my most recent blog posts. I cannot see who has visited and who is following my blog. I cannot even find any emojis to attach to my comments. With groups, I cannot see if anything new has posted on the group I moderate and cannot see who is in the group. Also I cannot post a new thread or a comment on an existing thread the group. The new format is a black hole which undermines any sense of community. It was seemingly launched without consultation or without announcement. It is one big car crash. I know you are not responsible but I just want provide my feedback. I will struggle find a reply this post if you do reply. There’s seemingly no dialogue with this so-called community format. The new format is chaos. Andrew’s reply to my mail Hi Spunky ... as one of the most prolific members here, I really value your feedback! We were planning just put a 'beta' link get some feedback but decided instead to roll it out and see what happens. It seems like the long-term bloggers are the most negative which is understandable. We'll roll it back in the morning (it's 4am here) and regroup with all the great feedback we got in the last hours or so. All the "I can see new stuff" is taken care by the "Alerts" the left sidebar ... no matter if it's it from a blog, group, or<b> erotic </font></b>story. Once I reply here, you'll see the alert on your sidebar.  |

The old format is back (at least for me), but for whow long? I just got this mail from Andrew: "Hi this is Andrew... the guy responsible for the "train wreck" blog update... really sorry for it... might roll back today. Happy to get your feedback on it now."

Thank you so much for reaching out to Andrew, I somehow missed this and I am glad I did as I had no issues like you all were talking about. One thing though that I didn't appreciate Andrew saying was that " It seems like the long-term bloggers are the most negative which is understandable." I am not sure what he is referring to but not all of us long time bloggers are as negative as he thinks. Perhaps if they ran the site better, more members wouldn't be so negative..Just Saying..  Again thanks so much for getting to the bottom of this and I hope you both enjoy a wonderfully peaceful Sunday..  Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

I suspect the new format will be re-launched; it's smething to do with the codes the site being very old and the site feels it's best to start afresh rather than fix each glitch as it comes along. Bloggers are the most likely to give feedback, eg complain, given that we probably use the site the most ... but the site doesn't make much money from us! The new format is for smartphones in that it bombards you with links of blogs and groups for a member to click and enter the rabbit warren. Blogs and groups are to be conflated. The new format is separating the dating side from the community side for some reason even they interconnect. Many people date by getting to know p[eople through their blogs and groups. To prove how the new format doesn't work: your blog was about the only blog I could find easily under the new format. I left a message about the new format on your ambassador blog post but there's no record of it now. How the site thinks it can migrate all the stuff from the old to the new format beggars belief. Some stuff I posted on my group appeared on other people's blogs!

Your point about a new FriendFinder-x guide for dummies, though probably meant satirically, is a good point. I too won't be sticking around if this new format as launched is re-launched on us. The problem is that the site makes very little money from blogland, which makes it vulnerable to whimsical change.

.chummy....1. because he recognized you as one of the more ' prolific' bloggers and 2. because i too commented on /in his ' forum', yet didnt get a response such as you did. ......and i had to join his ' community/group' to do so. Cant find any of that now. I truly need a ...new format guide....broken down to the basic level. I don't know why he responded to me as such, but I just wanted to share what he said to me to blogland because things are going to change here. The fact that I follow your blog and the fact that I enter music as one of my interests wouldn't mean anything; I'd still get gangbang links. On second thouhts, maybe the new format is best! No, I want to do your weekly quiz and to get next to fuck all right!

I saw that. He posted on my beta blog that was posted almost as soon as the new format went into effect. My biggest concern was the privacy settings, even more so than the changes to the format. I never did see he answer to that particular question.
