MY DEAR SANTA LETTER

Above is a photo of me or, at least, what I would look like if I had a hairy chest, grew a beard and wore a festive hat!

I have just completed writing my Dear Santa letter with a list of all the presents I want for this Christmas. Many bloggers have asked me to share my list as they would like to buy me a Christmas present this year!

Top of my list is a Marcelo Bielsa bucket, which incredibly was not given to me on my last birthday. Marcelo Bielsa is the manager of my football team, Leeds United, and he always sits on a blue bucket during games while he is not prowling around.

Next on my list is a Marcelo Bielsa blanket. It is getting cold here and I need a blanket to keep warm. Ideally I would like two blankets, one for my sofa and another for my bed.

Third on my list is a selection of fine and hopefully expensive dry white wine. Generally, I find the more expensive wines are the best wines. I know fine wine is always on my list but I have drunk the fine wine given to me last year. In fact, I drank the wine within a week after Christmas Day! Normally, I ask for Chablis, Languedoc, Pouilly-Fume and Sancerre. But this Christmas, I would like a bottle of Cohce-Dury Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru; it costs about 1,750 pounds a bottle but I have been assured this is a bargain given its exquisite bouquet and taste!

The fourth item on my present list is a Waterpik water flosser. I hate flossing my teeth, so much so that my teeth rarely get flossed. This water flosser looks much easier to use than the dental floss I have.

Fifth, and a bit boring, is a blue willow pattern dinner set, which at least includes plates, side plates and bowls. My willow pattern dinner set, given to me on my first wedding over 30 years ago, needs replenishing. Plates have got broken or have disappeared - my -in-law keeps taking plated dinners to her home without returning them; now her home has had a fire I doubt the plates will ever be returned.

The book written by John Bolton on the Trump presidency, titled The Room Where It Happened, is the sixth item on my present list. As a politics junkie, I would love to read this insider account of how Donald Trump behaved in the White House.

The seventh item is Jokari, a paddle ball game that I used to play a lot when I was a . The game involves hitting a ball with a paddle; the ball is connected by elastic to a base so when hit the ball comes back at you for it to hit again. The paddle can also be used for spanking a bottom!

Finally, and probably on the present list of many, are socks. But this Christmas, I would like a set of Paul Smith socks. Paul Smith, born in Nottingham, is a fashion designer. I love his classic signature stripes. I need several pairs of socks as I sometimes wear two pairs of socks when it gets really cold.

What presents would you like to be given this Christmas?
Have you started or even finished your present shopping for this Christmas?

Below are photos of the eight presents listed in my Dear Santa letter. It would be helpful if you could let me know in a comment what you want to give me so people do not give me the same present. Obviously, I do not mind if many if you give me wine as a Christmas present!

PS. lok4fun500, the Santa Claus of blogland, has promised to give me a bucketful of wine provided I leave out some biscuits, or cookies as he calls them, when he comes to visit me on Christmas Eve. So the Marcelo Bielsa bucket has been taken care of, but even more wine is okay!

I haven’t started my present shopping yet, but I know what I want to get and I only have to buy presents for my wife so shopping should be quite an easy and quick task.

That's quite a Christmas list you have there, and I hope you get all the gifts on your list.

What presents would you like to be given this Christmas? Just to be able to celebrate
Christmas would be a blessing. And make sure that everyone in the world is able to
enjoy a Merry Christmas.

Have you started or even finished your present shopping for this Christmas? No shopping here..

I hope you enjoy a great Hump Day..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

The water pik is easier to do than flossing, I would suggest a plug in one with a large reservoir. It will save frustration filling several times to complete the flossing. There are also portable ones that are battery operated. If I am traveling overnight, I take the floss picks that have floss stretched on a handle. If I am going to be in one place for several nights I often pack the water pik.

My dentist recommended I get a waterpik, but it seems it would take up a lot of space on the bathroom counter. Plus, I was picturing water escaping from my mouth and getting all over the place. More counter and mirror cleanups needed... Try it and let me know if you are able to control the water flow.

I have to admit that blanket is pretty cool.

I honestly don't need a thing. If someone wanted to really splurge they could get me a fancy knitting needle set.

WHEW - there for a minute I thought you had a "thing" for Marcelo Bielsa!

And OF COURSE, the wine is gone - that's what makes it a good present, you can keep getting more each year.

What presents would you like to be given this Christmas? - A pair of 38DDs/40DDD - no, not ON me, just for me to enjoy.

Have you started or even finished your present shopping for this Christmas? - I'm as done as I ever get.

Happy HNW.

To avoid losing dishes and storage containers, I bought a bag of the foam take home boxes at the warehouse shopping place. I dislike foam but now my storage containers stay with me.

Thanks for your advice on the Waterpik flosser; I definitely want one with a plug and large water reservoir.
Thanks for stopping by.

If you knitted a Marcela Bielsa blanket, you'd make a lot of money here, especially in Leeds where there are Bielsa murals everwhere.

It's good there are hippies opposing capitalism. I'm no big fan of capitalism. My politics are red, green liberal.

I've not read Mary Trump's book on Trump but I've heard it delivers a very damning verdict on his psychology make-up. Unfortunately he's still hovering in the wings!
