Sunday musings and a question

Greetings to all the members of the Perv Nation out here in the bloglands. I hope everyone is having a great weekend and has had the chance to do something(or someone(s)) fun. I am actually working on homework and watching TV. Due to my work schedule and trying to have a life I don't watch much TV and I have a minor rant. It is a McDonald's commercial showing a happy meal with milk and oranges. People, take responsibility for your nutrition. It is not the responsibility of a restaurant to do this for you. I may be out of line, but wow.
I also know that I am supposed to hate the blonde spokeswoman in the Game of War commercials with her (ahem) revealing armor. But she is very good at being sexy and I can't help but admire!
I also started my yearly batch of corned beef to pickling today. It should be appropriately corned by St. Patrick's day and since I make it 15lbs at a batch I will have a couple pieces for the rest of the year. I'm going to start my countdown to St. Paddy's day, since it is my cheat day and a day to celebrate my Celtic heritage. The majority of my ancestry is(with the occasional divergence) Scots, Irish and Welsh, so I enjoy the day of all things Celtic.
Of course one thing that most people of Celtic descent from the British Isles don't like to admit is that the center of Celtic culture in Roman times was Gaul, also known as France.
Now for the question. i am having skin issues of an undetermined source and don't think I look my best. I also promised all of my readers a post beard picture. So I am asking all of you what you want to see. Oh and the picture of my male member will be appearing on another blog and I shall inform you when. Well, I'm sure that's quite enough. Remember everyone, we are all in this thing called life together and not single one of us is getting out alive. Play nice and help each other out.
Yes! We'd like to see you, warts and all!
It's ok, take the time to look a little more human in your pic.

Take it easy, guns are cold.

I went with "take your time"... on the one hand it would be wonderful to see you. But on the other I totally get wanting to look your best when you do share pics. So whichever makes YOU more comfortable.

You hit a couple of my parenting nerves in this post...my kids are not heavy. I also think it's common sense to not let them drink sugared sodas with caffeine too. Whenever I see a child drinking that crap, makes me want to slap the parent. Not that I don't feed my kids McDs ever, but there are certain things they are not allowed to have while they are growing up...like caffeine.

The other thing is that busty woman from Game of War that shows up as an ad during my daughter's game on her iPad. She is not amused. Hence the lesson on boys and their attention spans that we apparently needed to have. I really like to decide when to talk to my kids about stuff, but ads and school have forced me to talk about things earlier than I'd have preferred. Truly irritating.

As for your picture, I said show us warts and all...I mean that this place is more than just shallowness, at least in the blogs anyway. We don't just like one aspect of you, we like all of you, starting with your words. Post whatever you are most comfortable posting but know that I'll see the same thing no matter what.

Swim...Bike...Done

I would just like to commend you for actually taking control of raising your kids and being a parent and making decisions, not having them dictated to you. I'm saddened about the ad. Not surprised but saddened. Thank you for the vote of confidence. I just didn't want to be seen as flaking out on my word heaven knows there are enough folks that do that here.

Yep, right up till the Franks pushed them out to the fringes - Wales, Ireland, Scotland etc
Could that be where the irrational dislike of the French comes from?
Racial memory perhaps?

don't talk to me about the french...cheese eating surrender monkeys

as to the blonde, joe says the commercials are fine for him, until she ruins it by opening her mouth and speaking

as for mcd's well it's better than what they were offering, and i'm sure that there are mothers and fathers both working that some days that is all they have time to do, tho yes it's way too easy to junk them up regardless

i remember a picture of you from a way back, not bad, quit acting like you're shrek or something

It may be a deep seated cultural dislike. Of course if I recall right Julius Caesar was fairly good at defeating Celts and selling them into slavery and there isn't really a deep seated dislike of Italians.

I shall mention those who need a military unit composed of foreigners to bolster their army no more. I agree with Joe, and the sight of large numbers of men following a jiggly blonde to their deaths has a metaphor somewhere I'm sure. Thank you for the vote of confidence, I am most certainly not Shrek, hes green and has perfect skin! Thanks for stopping by.
