There was one we expected to pass, any day now, we all were preparing ourselves...

There is now an upheaval in all the planning...
An untimely happening....
The caretaker has now passed, just tonight....
Surprise, shock, disbelief and wonder, lots of questions.....

 This is lovely, and it does what it's required to do.

Nice!

Free-verse is one that gives me trouble. Each time I do one it seems to be missing so much.

Thanks, the night this death occured I was absolutely speechless, but when I sat at the computer this is what come out. The original was a little different, I've been back a couple of times to refine some lines.
