High School USA Just got back from a long weekend in Arkansas. I attended my high school reunion. There are two sides to that particular coin. On the one side it's good to meet up with people who once were very good friends, and to find they are the same good people they were back in the day. The ones you didn't like too well then are still not someone one wants to spend a lot of quality time with. The other side is the people who are missing. Some have died, and it's sad to think of that. Others are not in very good health, and cause me to be thankful for what I have in that department. The whole experience is just a bunch of reminders for me, and it really makes me feel mortal. I had a lead foot when I was in high school, and totaled two cars. Just to remain in character for this grand event, I picked up a speeding ticket on a rural road in Arkansas. Bummer! What about you? Have you been back yet? Do you want to? Sounds like it was some fun times to go back, and enjoy parts of it. I have never been back 41 years. I at times wish I had went back at a point...as you said many I knew are gone now. Most of the others are of no real interest, as we never really knew each other, sure at this point it would be the same. One never knows what the future holds for any of us. My gosh 41 years, my I suddenly feel old.
