new frame of mind

For years I have been on this site, and tried hooking up with people no matter if it was for sex or just friendships. Then I started feeling really down about myself so I decided that I was not going to look for anything but conversations.

I have talked about many things here in my blog, and usually I don't have too many comments but I have plenty of views.

So I think now I will just post for me, and today I will post about me loosing weight. After years of trying to figure out what was wrong with me. Many visits to Doctors and blood tests it has boiled down to the fact that I have thyroid issues. Now from the time I was first diagnosed I kept putting weight on and was falling more and more in to a deep depression. Then I was diagnosed with spine issues that at this point can not be corrected and it makes moving around EXTREEMLY hard to move about. After years of pills and changing the dose, more blood work and more dose changes finally the Doctor tells me my blood work came back where it should be.

Three (ish) months later with very little trying on my part because of the depression. I have started loosing weight, down 11 pounds and counting. So from start to finish my basic goal is to loose (and yes I know this is a lot) 250 pounds at the least.

I have cut soda out of my diet, I have stopped eating bread things for the most part, and I am trying to walk more, even though it is not easy (and not just because of the weight) but I am determined.

Do you have any other ideas as to what would help me get to my desired goal of 150-180 pounds?

I have an ex who had "Hashimotos" she did what you have and was below 170 last time we talked. Have you read the book "Eat Right For Your Blood Type"?

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

redrockrascal, no I have not read that book though I might look In to it, thanks for the idea.

rickyspanish, I have been trying to do this for the past 16 years and it took most of that time for the Doctor to figure out it was my thyroid. now it is just the figuring from here.

SBHhound. thank you and though I used to be secure in my looks enough to post pics now I am in a place that I don't feel good enough for pictures but I am keeping track for myself.
